Mika Brzezinski Calls For Debbie Wasserman Schultz To Step Down As DNC Chair

Mika Brzezinski, a morning news personality on MSNBC, is urging Democrat National Committee (DNC) Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to step down. Brzezinski, also a Democrat, feels Wasserman Schultz has allowed the primary to become filled with bias in favor of Hillary Clinton.

“This has been very poorly handled from the start. It has been unfair and they haven’t taken him seriously, and it starts quite frankly with the person we just heard speaking. [Debbie Wasserman Schultz] It just does. You know that,” Brzezinski said on a recent segment of Morning Joe.

Mika Brzezinski shared her concerns about the DNC short-changing Bernie Sanders and his legions of followers during the Democrat primary with fervor. The Morning Joe co-host noted that she sees no incentive for the self-avowed Democrat Socialist to drop out of the race, Real Clear Politics reports.

After the Kentucky and Oregon primary races on Tuesday night, Debbie Wasserman Schultz addressed the anger about the role superdelegates play in the DNC primary process voiced by Bernie Sanders supporters, the Daily Caller notes. She also referenced the condemnation of violence Bernie Sanders uttered when asked about the actions of his supporters when they protest Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Democrat convention events.

“There is a way to deal with frustration over [the Democrat nominating] process. But the fact that the Sanders campaign has issued a ‘but’ in between condemnation of violence and frustration over the process seems to excuse their supporters’ actions, which is unacceptable,” Wasserman Shultz said.

The DNC Chair was very unhappy about chairs being thrown and Senator Barbara Boxer being booed off the stage at the recent Nevada Democrat convention. State party chair Roberta Lange claims she has received death threats over her handling of the primary convention and awarding of delegates.

“Can I ask this? Why would Bernie Sanders politely get in line for the Democratic Party? Because Hillary Clinton’s people said so? I sure wouldn’t,” Brzezinski added.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been broadly lambasted on social media for her alleged bias against Bernie Sanders.

“If the party I was a member of treated me like this, rigged the debate process, rigged the debate process, rigged Iowa, rigged the entire thing going forward. I’d say go straight to h**l, I’m running as an independent,” fellow Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough responded to Mika’s question.

“She should step down,” Brzezinski said, referencing Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Joe Scarborough went on to say this about the calls from the Democrat establishment for Bernie Sanders to pull out of the race.

“I would be betraying my people. All those people that gave him $25, $26, $27, to just play nice with the Democratic Party and fold yourself into convention at the end when the Democratic Party doesn’t respect them.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was sworn in as a House of Representatives member from the South Florida District 23 region in 2005, according to her Congressional web page. She is the first Jewish Congresswoman ever elected from Florida. She served as both a state senator and representative before being elected to her current post.

She grew up on Long Island and graduated with a Master’s degree in political science from the University of Florida in 1990, U.S. News and World Report notes.
