‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Hope’s Former Love Larry Welch Returning To Salem

Days of Our Lives has been bringing back so many former characters that fans’ heads are spinning, and perhaps the most surprising character return of all is about to do down.

According to Soap Hub, Hope Brady’s former love and almost husband Larry Welch is making his way back to Salem this summer.

The site reveals that the Days of Our Lives character, who was a big part of the Bo and Hope storyline in the 1980s, will, in fact, be coming back to Salem and likely seeking out Hope.

It’s been raining men for Hope on Days of Our Lives over the past year. Not only did she fall in love with Aiden Jennings and accept his marriage proposal, but her husband, Bo Brady, returned to Salem with a crazy story, only to die in her arms days later.

Hope Brady has since moved on with Rafe Hernandez, but had that relationship was shaken up when Aiden Jennings returned after being imprisoned by the DiMera family for months. Now, another one of Hope’s former lovers, Larry Welch, is being thrown into the mix, and fans are interested in what he may be doing back in Salem after all these years.

Longtime Days of Our Lives fans will remember that Hope and Larry were set to be married in a big church ceremony, but Bo, being the love of Hope’s life and all, kidnapped the bride and sent cigar-smoking Howie Hoffsteader in her place.

The moment that Larry lifted the veil to see Howie standing before him in Hope’s wedding dress was one of the most talked about moments in Days of Our Lives history. From that moment on, Bo and Hope were the DOOL power couple fans most loved to watch.

Fans aren’t surprised to hear that Larry Welch is returning to the show, as the soap has been bringing a ton of former characters back in many different ways. Some have come back for funerals, others for visits, and a couple will even return from beyond the grave as spirits to visit their loved ones.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Stefano DiMera, who was killed by Hope Brady earlier this year, will make his way back in spirit form to visit his beloved son, Chad DiMera, in a dream. Unfortunately for Chad, the dream reunion won’t be a sweet one, and some fans believe that Stefano will be trying to tell Chad exactly what happened in the final moments of his life before Hope shot and killed him.

Beloved Days of Our Lives character Jack Deveraux will also be returning to the show in spirit form. Jack will be seen by his wife, Jennifer, who is going through a very rough time right now.

Jennifer is currently dealing with the fact that her daughter, Abigail, is in a mental hospital dealing with her many issues, and Chad refuses to let her take her grandson, Thomas, to her house overnight. Chad obviously doesn’t want Jennifer alone with his son, and she’s not happy about it.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jennifer is going to try to fight Chad for custody of Thomas, but maybe Jack’s spirit will advise her against that since Jen’s dealing with her own demons at the moment. Days of Our Lives fans have seen Jennifer dive deeper and deeper into her drug addiction, but viewers are hopeful that Jack’s appearance will drive her to get the help she needs to get clean and stay sober.
