‘Call Of Duty,’ ‘Need For Speed,’ & More Discounted Via This Week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold
Owners of Microsoft’s Xbox game consoles with Xbox Live membership can take advantage of tons of discounted Xbox titles via the Deals with Gold promo for this week. Also, Square Enix Publisher Sale and Spotlight Sale are ongoing.
Each week, Microsoft offers a list of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games that will be on sale through its Deals with Gold program, which is available only for those who are subscribed to Xbox Live. According to the list posted by Major Nelson, the discounted games for this week include several Call of Duty titles, Need for Speed, and more.

Xbox One users with Xbox Live subscription can avail of the whopping 67 percent discount given for Infinity Ward’s 2013 entry for the first-person shooter video game, Call of Duty: Ghosts. Published by Activision, COD Ghosts, according to its Xbox Store page, “features a fresh dynamic where players are on the side of a crippled nation fighting not for freedom, or liberty, but simply to survive.
The description further reads, “Fueling this all new Call of Duty universe, the franchise’s ambitious new next-gen engine delivers stunning levels of immersion and performance all while maintaining the speed and fluidity of 60 frames-per-second across all platforms.”

Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Ghosts Digital Hardened Edition is available for Xbox Live Gold members for only half of its original price. Its Xbox Store product page noted that the game’s usual price is $99.99. Accordingly, this game edition comes with various bonus content such as COD Ghosts Season Pass, the Digital Hardened Edition In-Game Item Pack, and the Ghosts Insignia Pack.
Furthermore, Deals with Gold are also offering discounts for both the standard and the digital deluxe edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops III that can be used by Xbox Live Gold members.
Xbox 360 owners with active Xbox Live Gold subscription also have the chance to buy discounted COD titles this week. Under Deals with Gold promotion, Call of Duty: Black Ops is currently available for a massive 75 percent discount. COD Black Ops II is currently 67 percent cheaper while the COD Black Ops III bundle has a 40 percent discount this week.
Furthermore, Xbox Live Gold members with an Xbox 360 can also have their own copy of Call of Duty: World at War for only half of its original price. COD Ghosts for the Xbox 360 gets a huge 75 percent discount.
EA’s racing video game Need for Speed is also on sale this week through the Deals with Gold program for Xbox Live members. According to Major Nelson, the Xbox 360 version of Criterion Games’ Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is 70 percent cheaper right now, specifically for those with Xbox Live Gold subscription. From the usual price of $19.99, NFS Hot Pursuit is now available for only $5.99, its Xbox Marketplace page specified.
Also, Xbox One’s Need for Speed Deluxe Edition and the standard version are both on sale, each with a 67 percent discount.
In addition to Microsoft’s Deals with Gold, gamers can also get huge savings through the Square Enix Publisher Sale. Some Square Enix titles on sale are Just Cause 3, Just Cause 3 XL Edition, Life is Strange Complete Season, Dungeon Siege III, Gyromancer, and various Hitman entries such as Absolution and Blood Money. Spotlight Sale brings in huge discounts for Xbox One’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as well as three editions of Forza Motorsport 6 (Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate).
The current Deals with Gold offering, Spotlight Sale, and Square Enix Publisher Sale are scheduled to run until Monday, May 23.
