Justin Bieber And Diplo Announce A New Major Lazer Collaboration Is Coming

Justin Bieber and Diplo have teased a new collaboration which will feature the Biebs on a Major lazer track.

The Canadian superstar previously dropped music fire with Diplo and Jack Ü partner, Skrillex, on the subsequently Grammy-winning “Where Are Ü Now.” The song was first heard on Jack Ü’s debut album in February, 2015, and then on Bieber’s latest album Purpose.

Diplo and the Biebs revealed the news about the upcoming Major Lazer team-up in a series of tweets earlier this week.

“When are we bringing this new music?” Bieber tweeted Diplo on Monday. The producer-DJ replied on Tuesday, writing, “Let me just whip up this artwork quick because this song is [fire emoji].”

Diplo also confirmed that the song-to-come would involve Major Lazer. “It’s happening,” Bieber later added.

YourEdm speculated that With Walshy Fire, Jillionaire, and Diplo’s upcoming collaboration with Bieber could be a massive dancehall hit married to the singer’s fusion pop leanings. But, as yet, there’s no word on what it sounds like or a drop-date.

Will the Justin BieberMajor Lazer track lie somewhere between “Lean On,” “Where Are Ü Now,” or will it explore totally new waters?

Speaking of Skrillex, the producer-DJ has some words for ex-EDM buddy, Deadmau5, who accused the OWSLA head of allowing himself to be “used as a godd**n tool” when he produced and co-wrote some of the songs on Bieber’s critically acclaimed Purpose album.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Skrillex fired back saying, “If he was a real friend, he would come to me and be like, ‘Yo, you shouldn’t be working for Justin Bieber,’ rather than blowing it up all over the Internet and going out of his way to make people feel wrong for making a choice in their life.”

He went on to add, “And I would say to him, ‘I enjoy working with Justin Bieber!’ I’m a fan of his voice. And if you’re a producer and you get an opportunity to work with someone who’s the biggest artist in the world — for better or for worse — what would you say? Would you say no?”

Meanwhile, a rep for Bieber has addressed the somewhat overplayed “meltdown” chatter the media has been running about the pop icon, after he got a tiny facial tattoo (gasp!), and was snapped walking barefoot and sitting in a tree (gosh!) in a Boston park on an off-day from his Purpose World Tour.

Despite these media-fueled “breakdown” claims, a source connected to Bieber tells People magazine the Canadian isn’t having a “meltdown” but is feeling the strain of his grueling tour schedule.

“Two months into it, and he already feels beat,” says the source. “He’s not losing it, though. He’s just trying to find ways to focus.”

As for the Justin’s nature visits, the source says the singer simply likes to get out in nature to relax and replenish.

“Visiting parks and meditating calms him,” says the insider.

Furthermore, contrary to a previous report peddled by one of the gossip sites claiming Bieber’s tour is in jeopardy, a rep for Bieber tells People that rumor is “bulls—,” before saying of the singer: “He’s totally fine.”

Now that’s settled, here’s hoping the forthcoming Major LazerJustin Bieber new music collaboration is something worth getting excited about.
