Kylie Jenner And Tyga Split: Rapper Explains Why They Broke Up

Kylie Jenner and Tyga have split and while many have believed they may soon get back together due to their up and down past, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star appears to be focused on her new life as a single lady.

As Kylie Jenner shared a slew of photos of herself on Instagram, Tyga spoke out about their split, claiming their relationship simply didn’t work out.

“I think, you know, we’re both just focusing on our lives, our individual lives right now, you know? Sometimes things don’t work out,” Tyga told TMZ, according to a report by Cosmopolitan on May 15.

Meanwhile, a source claims the rapper hasn’t been handling the breakup nearly as well as he made it seem during his chat with TMZ,

“Tyga’s a mess. He’s out of friends and since he and Kylie are not together, he doesn’t have the Kardashian family to love him,” an insider told Hollywood Life on May 17. “He reached his breaking point and had the nerve to call Blac. He literally called her, asks her how the pregnancy is going but with the intent on her nursing him through his break-up. He told Blac how sorry he was for everything he’s done to her and told her that he’s miserable that he’s not with Kylie.”

Kylie Jenner and Tyga were first linked to one another in November 2014, just three months after Tyga and his ex-girlfriend, Blac Chyna, parted ways. At the time, as the Daily Mail revealed on May 17, the rumored couple was photographed together at the LA Mission’s annual pre-Thanksgiving dinner before celebrating the holiday with Jenner’s family.

Although Kylie Jenner and Tyga faced ongoing rumors of a romance throughout late 2014 and into early 2015, they continued to deny their relationship — even after Kanye West, the husband of Jenner’s sister, Kim Kardashian, told a radio show that they “love each other.”

While Kylie Jenner and Tyga were frequently seen together, and Tyga even debuted a tattoo of her name in April 2015, they continued to deny they were dating until August 2015, when Kylie Jenner turned 18.

After going public with their relationship, Kylie Jenner and 26-year-old Tyga faced criticism because of the age gap in their relationship. However, the backlash didn’t seem to bother them at all, and they continued on with their relationship and began filming scenes for Keeping Up With the Kardashians together.

As fans saw on the show, Kylie Jenner and Tyga’s relationship was often on and off, but in November 2015, the couple officially announced they had called it quits and rumors swirled claiming Tyga had cheated. Days later, Kylie Jenner and Tyga had a change of heart and rekindled their romance, despite a number of models being linked to the rapper around that time.

Throughout 2016, Kylie Jenner and Tyga have continued to make headlines with their romance, as well as his alleged romances with other women, including Kylie Jenner lookalike Val Mercado. Tyga was also accused of attempting to strike up an online relationship with a 14-year-old model on Instagram named Molly O’Malia.

In recent weeks, Kylie Jenner and Tyga appeared happy in photos shared on social media and attended the Coachella Music Festival together last month.

So far, Kylie Jenner hasn’t released an official statement about the split.
