‘Game Of Thrones’: Khal Drogo Takes To Social Media To Cheer On Daenerys Targaryen As She Walks Through The Flames

It’s nice to know that in the Game of Thrones universe, even when you are dead, you are still supporting the love of your life. Khal Drogo took to social media to congratulate Daenerys on the burn — both literally and figuratively — his Khaleesi gave the Dothraki.

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information about Season 6 of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Please proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.

Episode 4 of HBO’s Game of Thrones saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) rise up like a phoenix from the ashes to claim the Dothraki as her own. Season 5 of Game of Thrones saw the previous Khaleesi to Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) captured by the Dothraki and taken to the Dosh Khaleen because that is where all the widows of Khals go to spend the rest of their lives.

Not happy with this turn of events, Daenerys came up with a plan to escape using her Targaryen trait of being able to withstand fire. For the record, this is a TV version of the Targaryen bloodline, not the official book stance, and there is some gray area there in regard to just how well Targaryens repel fire in the books the TV series is based on.

While Season 6 of Game of Thrones saw Daenerys a captive to the race she once helped rule with Khal Drogo, there was no respect shown for Daenerys until it was revealed she was a former Khaleesi. Even then, when she was brought before the Khals to have her fate decided, there was still talk of rape, gang rape, and horse rape. So Daenerys retaliated by burning their house down to the ground — with all of the Khals trapped inside. Being Targaryen, she was able to walk free from the inferno and claim the Dothraki as her own.

But what would Khal Drogo have thought of all this? Well, thanks to social media, Khal Drogo took to his Instagram account to voice his opinion on the matter.

Jason Momoa, the actor who played Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, captioned the image of Daenerys walking, unscathed, from the burning building with, ” Hahahahahahahahahahahhhahaha. I love GOT. Don’t f**k with my boo. Hahahahahahahahah @emilia_clarke love u Moon of my life ALOHA DROGO.”

And this is not the first time Jason Momoa has taken to Instagram to support Daenerys in her Game of Thrones antics. When Daenerys was first captured by the Dothraki, Drogo had this to say on the matter.

What is interesting to note in the above image is the fact that Jason Momoa says “Miss u see u soon.” Is that a Game of Thrones spoiler right there out in the open? Only time will tell. Regardless of whether Khal Drogo might return to Game of Thrones or not, the photos proves that for Khal Drogo, at least, Daenerys will always be his Khaleesi.

Season 6 of Game of Thrones returns to HBO with Episode 5, entitled “The Door,” on Sunday, May 22, at 9 p.m. ET. The official synopsis for Episode 5, entitled “The Door,” is as follows.

“Tyrion seeks a strange ally; Bran learns a great deal; Brienne goes on a mission; Arya gets a chance to prove herself.”
