Things are starting to look up for Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) on Season 6 of Game of Thrones. Not only did she escape the fate of the Dothraki, but she now has the support of the Dothraki in her bid for the Iron Throne. What’s next for the Mother of Dragons?

According to Us Magazine, Daenerys literally burned the house down in an epic fiery scene that concluded with her nude escape from the Dothraki. While a nude Daenerys emerged from the flames, the remaining Dothraki leaders showed their support by bowing down to their new ruler.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Clarke started off by sharing how she was proud of the naked scene and the opportunity to shed everything once again.

“I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was Season 3,” Clarke shared. “That was awhile ago. It’s now Season 6. But this is all me, all proud, all strong. I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said ‘Yes. That ain’t no body double!'”

That being said, Clarke also admitted that this nude scene was easier to film, especially considering how it was filmed in a closed and remote set.

“Taking off my clothes is not the easiest thing, but with the magic of the effects, I don’t have to do a Season 1 and go on a cliff and do it,” she stated. “I’m in control of it.”

Clarke added that the scene was exciting for her character’s development because she defeated her enemies in an interesting manner. While most fans had expected Jorah and Daario to smuggle her out of the city, producers came up with a more clever way for her to escape.

“It’s so exciting, very tingly-making. Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment,” Clarke explained. “I just stand up, and I go, ‘I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket, and now I win.'”

That being said, fans were quick to point out that Daenerys in the book does not have the same kind of supernatural powers. Instead, her fireproof abilities were only a one-time thing that happened during the birth of her three dragon babies in the Season 1 Game of Thrones finale.

Meanwhile, according to MTV News, Daenerys’ recent triumph could not have come at a better time. After all, Daenerys’ future was threatened after the Dothraki horde captured her and took her to their sacred city.

However, now that Daenerys is out of her current predicament, there is a strong possibility that she will finally set her eyes on Westeros and the Iron Throne.

“She realizes that this is the missing piece,” Clarke added in the interview. “The Dothraki are the missing piece of her crew — she’s seemingly indestructible having Dothraki on her side.”

With a massive army now under her leadership, Clarke now has the means to travel across the ocean and fight for the throne. Of course, Clarke’s attempt to rule Westeros has been in development since the beginning of the series.

Even still, Daenerys’ recent victory over the Dothraki was definitely a step in the right direction. Not only is it a welcome break from the drama in Meereen, but it promises an epic showdown once she crosses the ocean and goes head to head with the Lannisters.

Whether or not Daenerys finds enough ships to make it across to Westeros before the end of season six is yet to be seen. Considering how long she’s been away from the city and the throne, her recent escape might renew her passion to return.

The sixth season of Game of Thrones airs Sunday nights on HBO.
