Ozzy Osbourne And Son Jack To Star In New Reality TV Series For History Channel

Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to reality TV. In 2002, the Black Sabbath frontman, together with wife Sharon and children Kelly and Jack, starred in the MTV reality show The Osbournes. Now, Ozzy and his son Jack will be appearing in yet another TV series, this time for the History Channel.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ozzy and Jack will be traveling to different parts of the world to visit iconic landmarks in their show entitled Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour. Some of the places that are featured include Roswell, Stonehenge, and Mt. Rushmore. in an interview with Billboard last year, Ozzy Osbourne talked more about filming the series and said it’s “like a father and son spoof on history.”

“We went to Stonehenge and met a guy who thinks he’s the f*****g reincarnation of King Arthur. And we went to Bletchley Park to see the machine [Alan Turing] used to break the [German] kind. We’re going to Mount Rushomre, to the abandoned silos where America used to have their Minutemen missiles and all that.”

Ozzy Osbourne said that visiting the historical sites was educational for him and called the show “history with an Osbourne slant.” The Futon Critic provided a synopsis of Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour.

“There will be no roadies, no tour buses and no boundaries. Just a bucket list of iconic and historically significant spots that includes Mt. Rushmore, Stonehenge, The Alamo, Roswell, The Jamestown Settlement and Sun Studios and a hit list of some fascinating sights and people that they’ve read about.”

The news of Ozzy and Jack’s new reality TV show came amid Ozzy’s cheating allegations. Last week, it was reported that Ozzy and his wife Sharon are no longer together after Sharon found evidence that Ozzy hadn’t been faithful to her. Sharon and Ozzy were married in 1982. According to reports, the two no longer live together in their California home.

Sharon, who is Black Sabbath’s manager, announced last week that a mega-fest that includes Ozzy’s band will be happening in the fall. The event, which is called “Ozzfest Meets Knotfest,” features Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Disturbed, Megadeth, Children of Bodom, and more. Fans of Black Sabbath and Ozzy can get their tickets when they go on sale on May 20. The event will be held on September 24 and 25 at the San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, California.

The press conference on Thursday was Ozzy and Sharon’s first public appearance together after the news of their split. Despite their separation, Ozzy hopes that Sharon will still be his manager and business partner. Sharon will still be involved in Ozzfest, as she says that it has been part of her life for so long.

“My kids grew up going to Ozzfest, 20 years it’s been around so I have a very soft spot in my heart for Ozzfest.”

There is no word if Sharon will be filing for divorce.
