Mariah Carey Says ‘F***ing Nobody’ Is Good Enough To Sing At Her Wedding
Mariah Carey’s wedding to James Packer is happening soon, and the songstress revealed that she has already chosen something to wear. However, there are no details regarding the style of the wedding gown or the designer she chose. According to Hollywood Take, one thing that Mariah revealed about her wedding gown is that she is not going to wear white because “this is number three,” and she has done that before.
Mariah Carey was married to Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1997 and to Nick Cannon from 2008 to 2015.
In April, Mariah shared to ET Online that she already tried on her wedding dress.
“I tried my dress last night. It looks good. They came and brought it… I can’t say the people. I can’t say their names. The fabulous designer house that’s amazing.”
Talking about her wedding to James Packer, Mariah Carey said that she would like it to be “beautiful but humble” as both she and her husband-to-be have had big weddings to their previous spouses. Instead, Mariah said that she will just go with whatever she likes. This, however, doesn’t mean that she will not be spending a lot for her wedding.
According to a report from Just Jared, Mariah and James will be married in an island in the Caribbean where her husband-to-be is building a resort with actor Robert De Niro. The two plan to invite only 50 guests who will be flown via a private jet to the island, and the reported cost of the upcoming wedding is said to be $100 million.
ET Online caught up with Mariah on Sunday in New York City and asked her about her wedding, particularly the wedding singer. When asked who is qualified to sing at her wedding, the singer said jokingly, “F***ing nobody! Bye!”
Does this mean that she is the only one good enough to sing at her own wedding? Mariah Carey elaborated.
“Of course I’m not going to perform at my wedding. It’s not even gonna be like that. I’m not even sure someone is performing. It’s more gonna be a small thing. We already did the thing with the ring. So, you know, it’s over the top already! It’s over the top enough.”
In a separate interview with People, Mariah was also asked whether she would sing at her own wedding.
“Why would you sing at your own wedding? It’s obnoxious!”
Mariah’s wedding to James Packer has been postponed due to her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour, but sources say the big event may happen in mid-June. Mariah is on a wedding diet, according to Fox News, which could mean that her wedding may happen soon. The report says that the singer takes a protein shake in the morning and her diet consists of high-quality proteins, salad, and sushi.

The preparations for the said tour can be viewed by her fans in her upcoming documentary series, Mariah’s World. The reality series consists of footage of Mariah’s red carpet events, behind-the-scenes footage, rehearsals, and conversations with the people close to her. According to Mariah, her husband-to-be is thrilled that she is doing a reality show. “He thinks it’s good. He’s happy that I’m doing it,” Mariah said.
Mariah’s World consists of eight one-hour episodes and will air globally on E! channels.
