Jennifer Lawrence Has Some Strong Words For Donald Trump [Video]

Donald Trump’s past behavior and treatment of women have been under media scrutiny recently, and Jennifer Lawrence made it clear that she is not a fan of the presumptive Republican nominee.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, the Oscar-winning actress recalled being at a concert where Donald Trump was in attendance.

“I was at a concert where I heard he was attending, so I had my full security team, like I was like, ‘Find Donald Trump,'” she said. “I was adamant on finding him and making a video of me going, ‘Hey, Trump, f*** you!'”

“I wouldn’t rest until he was found and I think he knew I was looking for him,” she added.

This isn’t the first time the 25-year-old actress has been critical of Donald Trump.

In a previous interview with Vogue, she said, “My view on the election is pretty cut-and-dried… If Donald Trump is president of the United States, it will be the end of the world.”

Lawrence, who was raised Republican, stopped supporting the party due to the GOP’s treatment of women. With Donald Trump’s verbal attacks on women and accusations of sexism has widened the gender gap with his voters.

According to a recent poll, about 50 percent of Republican women do not plan on supporting Trump’s campaign for President of the United States.

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly questioned Trump about his sexist behavior during the GOP debate on August 6, quoting him on insults he has used to describe women.

“You have called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs’, ‘dogs’, ‘slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals.'”

Trump responded by denying some of the quotes and adding, “I don’t frankly have the time for total political correctness.”

Trump later referred to Kelly as a “bimbo” and went on several Twitter tirades attacking the journalist.

Donald Trump is going to have to work on reinventing himself and appealing to women in the general elections. Trump’s top adviser, Paul Manafort, admits that Trump has a lot of making up to do in regard to getting women to vote for him.

“It’s an issue. It’ll be dealt with,” he said. “We’re coming to a healing process. This is way early and still already we’re seeing convergence on the party of the electorate on Donald Trump.”

However, Manafort also defended Trump by stating that voters do not care about the stories surrounding Trump’s personal life and alleged comments.

Other than his issues with women, Trump has had a rough week. He has refused to release his tax returns and has fluctuated on many positions, such as trade, Muslim travel ban, immigration, and foreign relations with the UK. He has also been accused of acting as his own publicist under the name “John Miller” in the past.

Trump has defended himself on Twitter by branding attacks against a “witch hunt.”

The extent to which critical stories on Trump will impact his chances in the general elections is yet to be determined. Donald Trump became the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party under the media scrutiny. However, his approval rating remains poor among Hispanics, African Americans, and women.

Mark Cuban recently told the Washington Post that some conservatives have asked him to run as a third-party candidate in this year’s presidential election. Trump has been at odds with the conservative party due to differences in several positions regarding political policies.
