‘The Walking Dead’ Theory: Negan Kidnaps Daryl — Will Dixon Lead The Saviors In Season 7?
The Walking Dead Season 7 is being filmed as we speak, and fans are dying for spoilers. The cast and crew are keeping quiet about what will happen when the zombie series returns. However, photos and details from the filming location have fans speculating. Recently, a few viewers came up with a theory that Negan will kidnap Daryl Dixon for a surprising reason.
Warning: Even though this is a theory, possible spoilers for The Walking Dead may be ahead.
The theory that Negan kills Daryl on The Walking Dead is not new. It was brought up several times last season. However, Negan might not introduce Dixon’s face to Lucille. Instead, Negan could kidnap Daryl and take him back to the Sanctuary, according to a teaser post by a popular TWD spoiler page.
The Spoiling Dead Fans wrote on Facebook that it is likely the Sanctuary was being filmed on Friday night. As for who was working, it was speculated that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Dwight (Austin Amelio) were on set, along with Dwight’s girlfriend, Sherry (Christine Evangelista). However, that isn’t the juiciest TWD Season 7 tidbit.
“There was another person that we are hearing was sighted there on Friday…. And that person is Daryl,” TSDF wrote regarding the Sanctuary possibly being filmed. “This is **UNCONFIRMED** at this time, so please take it with [a grain of] salt. We are suspicious that Negan might have taken Daryl back to the Sanctuary.”

If this is accurate, then why would Negan kidnap Daryl? Dixon is one of the most skillful and resilient members of Rick’s group. He can survive on his own and protect others. He notices things others may miss. He can track, hunt, and has no problem doing what is necessary to survive. He also took out an entire group of the Saviors and maybe Negan was impressed.
No matter how useful Negan thinks Daryl will be to the Saviors, Dixon will never switch sides. He will remain loyal to Rick’s group until the day he dies. However, people do change, and it would make an interesting yet infuriating twist in the story.
After the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead, a fan noticed a car in the background. As MoviePilot noted, the car was noticed by a fan while Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha dealt with a group of the Saviors. Rumors quickly went viral that Negan was watching from the car in the distance. While it may have been an editing error, it could have been a clue. Now that fans are talking about the possibility of Negan kidnapping Daryl, fans really may have been on to something. Negan probably wasn’t in the car, but maybe it was someone else, who then reported the details back to the leader.
In the zombie apocalypse, there are not a whole lot of humans left. This means that many people have to take what they can get. Even though there are a large number of the Saviors, not all of them are skillful or smart. There might even be a few who are not loyal to Negan, which brings us to our next point.
One TWD fan believes that if Negan kidnaps Daryl, then he may replace Dwight as leader of the Saviors. This isn’t too far-fetched when you think about it. Who is more capable of surviving and leading a group of people? Who is better at getting goods and resources? Who is more trustworthy? Obviously, it is Daryl Dixon. However, would he really agree? Only time will tell, and as TWD fans know, anything is possible on The Walking Dead.
If Daryl does end up leading the Saviors, it won’t be for quite a while. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there was smoke seen coming from Alexandria. This led fans to the conclusion that Negan and the Saviors will attack Alexandria with grenades, something Daryl would never do.
