WWE Rumors, Spoilers: The Club Has Arrived And ‘Extreme Rules’ Build-Up Continues On ‘Monday Night Raw’

There is just one week until WWE brings the annual pay-per-view (PPV) known as Extreme Rules, and the build-up is going to continue on both shows. Monday Night Raw is the “go-home” show for the PPV, and it will settle any last-minute matches to be added and further storylines to keep fans guessing as to who will emerge victorious on Sunday. One major angle to watch for is that of The Club which has now officially formed and is going after Roman Reigns.

The official Monday Night Raw preview has been released on the WWE website, and it details the main points that will happen this week. Nothing overly major should happen as the focus is on Extreme Rules, and the primary angles are in place for bigger things to take place on Sunday or a week from this Monday.

It’s Club-bering time

Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles is the top match at Extreme Rules, but fans are more focused on their stable-mates than them. Finally, The Club has arrived and has been recognized as a full-on stable, but it’s hard to take them seriously when they are not being company-dominant and simply focusing on just Reigns and The Usos.

A lot of fans and critics don’t believe that The Club has been booked properly since arriving in WWE, and it’s believed that a lot of good things have been missed. Top Rope Press reports that it has actually been a major case of “booking gone bad,” and they are far from the only ones.

WrestleZone is reporting that the group is still “on fire” and hot with the fans, but WWE needs to realize the much greater potential that is there in AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows. Making a version of The Bullet Club is smart, but it needs to be done correctly.

New Day rocked

Some don’t feel as if The Vaudevillains are making a big enough splash on the WWE main roster yet, but they certainly showed a lot of promise last week. The old-school brawlers cost The New Day a match against the Dudley Boyz and then unleashed some punishment of their own on the WWE Tag Team Champions.

Could this be a sign of things to come? Maybe the nostalgic heels have a chance of winning some gold after arriving on the scene less than a month ago.

The ‘EnD’ is here

Emma and Becky Lynch have been at each other’s throats for weeks now, but now the Irish Lass Kicker is outnumbered. The WWE main roster debut of Dana Brooke brought about a new team simply called “EnD” which stands for “Emma ‘n’ Dana,” and that’s trouble for Lynch.

Fans are beginning to wonder who will join forces with Becky Lynch to take on the latest female superstars to arrive from NXT. Could this bring about a Sasha Banks sighting?

Lights out

Chris Jericho may let some get away with a few things, but you don’t mess with his wardrobe, and that’s exactly what Dean Ambrose did. This match has still not been made official for Extreme Rules, but it’s very close to being confirmed and will likely be put in place on Monday night.

On last week’s Raw, Ambrose destroyed Jericho’s light-up jacket, and ripping up his $15,000 possession was the final straw. On SmackDown, Ambrose was beaten up by Y2J and put into a strait-jacket which brought about more punishment.

Could the PPV end up getting a match with a stipulation involving the strait-jacket?

Caribbean cool

It is rather interesting that WWE is putting so much time and effort into a tag team that is about to have their third gimmick in the company. Still, they’re extremely talented wrestlers and will add a lot to a budding tag team division.

The preview from the WWE website is an interesting one in the way things are worded for the debut of Primo and Epico. Longtime wrestling fans know that “Caribbean Cool” is actually the original name that Carlito used upon his debut in WWE, and it could signal a return of their family member to create a larger stable.

While SmackDown is going to air on Thursday, any major advancements for storylines will take place on Monday Night Raw. WWE is focusing on Extreme Rules in a week, and the spotlight is on The Club taking on Roman Reigns and The Usos, but will anyone else join the fight? There likely won’t be a lot happening this week, but look for a very busy weekend coming from WWE.
