‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Love Is Lost, Old Friends Reconcile, And A Wedding Date Is Finally Set [Video]

General Hospital is going to be explosive during the upcoming week. Fans have been waiting for a long time for May sweeps, and now that the show is at the half-way point in the month, the really good stuff is going to begin airing. From the Nurses Ball to “JaSam” (Jason and Sam) scenes, there is plenty to look forward to over the next several days.

Last week, General Hospital left off with a confrontation between Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian (William deVry) brewing. After everything that the two have been through, things are about to change. Alexis knows that Julian killed Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), and she demands answers. When Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) visited the house and informed the couple Carlos was killed with a strange knife, Alexis immediately knew what happened. She had previously seen Julian with the Cassadine relic, and it was the weapon used to get rid of Carlos. The confrontation is going to be one of epic proportions and could even be Daytime Emmy material for Grahn. General Hospital writers have been focusing on this showdown for a while, and even though “Julexis” (Julian and Alexis) fans have huge numbers, tearing them apart may be better for the ratings.

There has been a lot of discussion among General Hospital fans regarding the fate of Jason Morgan (Billy Miller). Two major theories suggest either he will return to the mob and work for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or that will he return to being Jason Quartermaine. According to We Love Soaps, Jason and Sonny will have a conversation mid-week. It appears that it may be somewhat sentimental, but nothing definitive on which path Jason will choose. General Hospital fans hope that he remains neutral and running his life much like he has been. His relationship with Sam (Kelly Monaco) is definitely going to be focused on this week, along with their reconciliation moving forward. If Jason could remain detached from the mob and still be there for Sonny, it would be a win-win situation.

Several smaller storylines from General Hospital will be tied in this week as well. It seems like it has been years since Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) became engaged, but it has only been a year. It happened at the 2015 Nurses Ball, and fans expect their wedding date to coincide with the Nurses Ball coming on May 24. There has been very little talk about Brad’s wife and whether or not they were able to end the marriage. By the end of the week, General Hospital fans will have some information on when the happy couple plans to tie the knot. Rumors are currently circulating from Celeb Dirty Laundry that Lucas will die on his wedding day, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

The mystery surrounding Laura’s (Genie Francis) mystery clues from Helena (Constance Towers) will pick back up this week. Several scenes will feature Laura and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) talking about new clues and discovering leads. When Kevin finds something that leads to Laura’s past, they both may get more than they initially bargained for. Rumors were coming out of several General Hospital Facebook groups that indicated the two may be romantically paired together after being pushed into this mystery, but it is unclear if that is the direction the General Hospital writers are headed in.

This is the week leading into the Nurses Ball on General Hospital, and a lot of ground will be covered. From Alexis confronting Julian to Brad and Lucas setting a wedding date, there will be plenty going on. As the Port Charles residents prepare for the party of the year, there will be some life-changing events happening.
