Erykah Badu is on the track with PartyNextDoor now? In a remake of “Come and See Me,” the two give their listeners plenty of R&B phrasing with the popular song.

PartyNextDoor first released the track last month, and it featured Drake. It quickly became popular among OVO fans, and even those outside the fan base. And, now, here comes Erykah Badu entering the mix. As usual, she holds her own in her unique way.

The instrumental sounds like something Erykah would use anyway, right? Even in its composition, Badu added a little more “Badoula” on it with a switch-up halfway through the song. You can listen to Erykah and PartyNextDoor’s remix via the SoundCloud audio below.

PartyNextDoor – Come and See Me feat. Erykah Badu

Erykah Badu is known for her soulful, warm vocals. Even with her Atlanta presence, she’s down with OVO’s Canadian sound. Although this is an actual remix that PartyNextDoor has promoted, himself, this isn’t the first OVO track that Badu has dashed with her particular flavor.

When Drake released “Hotline Bling,” after the song gained a serious headway over other popular tracks at the time, Erykah Badu remixed it — even adding to the instrumental. In case you didn’t hear her version of Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” you can listen in the audio below.

While Badu took her spicy take on “Hotline Bling,” she also soothed the heated sensation with something sweet towards the end of the track. That’s when things started sounding like the Erykah all her fans seem know.

Many of Badu’s fans mention that they love her renditions of the two OVO tracks.

However, there are others who feel that she’s “just trying to stay relevant.” Yet, those comments tend to get a little more explicit.

Nevertheless, in other Erykah Badu news, the “Come and See Me” singer is also starring in a new movie. According to Source, the new movie is called The Land, and it’s produced by Nas. Reportedly, the film is a “skater movie.” The movie’s summary states as follows.

“Teenage buddies Cisco, Boobie, Junior, and Patty Cake skateboard the streets of Cleveland, Ohio, dreaming of getting discovered by a sponsor and skating their way out of poverty. That is until the boys discover a bag full of pills in the back of a stolen car. Cisco’s entrepreneurial instincts take over, and in a flash their lives get better.

“But no one counted on having to come face to face with the cold, calculating, and notorious drug queenpin, ‘Momma’, who runs the toughest gang in town…More than a crime drama, THE LAND is a beautifully rendered story about friendship, values, and what it means for disaffected youth to come of age on the streets of Cleveland.”
