‘RHONY’ Bethenny Frankel Slams Sonja Morgan Over Tipsy Girl Feud, ‘I Don’t Want Anything To Do With You’

Things are about to get real tense between Bethenny Frankel and Sonja Morgan on the upcoming episode of the Real Housewives of New York City.

People is reporting that last week’s installment of RHONY featured Morgan showing off her new line of alcohol drinks, Tipsy Girl. Morgan hosted a party to unveil her new brand, and questions quickly mounted when Frankel failed to make an appearance at the event.

Morgan’s new brand has a striking resemblance to Frankel’s highly successful line of products, Skinnygirl. While Jules Wainstein questioned Morgan about how Frankel reacted to her brand, a preview for the next episode reveals that Frankel is not happy about it.

“When a brand rides on the coattails of another brand, they call it a cheater brand,” Frankel told Morgan. “It’s a personal insult and I don’t want anything to do with you.”

According to Romper, Morgan asked Frankel for help with her clothing line in the past. However, Morgan’s latest venture is too close in name to Frankel’s Skinnygirl products.

Frankel isn’t going down without a fight. In fact, the business mogul has already taken legal action to sabotage Morgan’s newest business investment. This includes Frankel trying to trademark a slight variation of Morgan’s brand name, Tipsygirl.

At the same time, Frankel posted a message on Twitter during the latest episode and hinted at her displeasure with Morgan.

“Can’t believe we had to wait six episodes to hear the words ‘International Lifestyle Brand,” she wrote, referring to Morgan’s “businesses.”

Despite their epic fight in the upcoming installment, Morgan admitted that she has plans to change her brand name in order to keep her friendship with Frankel intact.

“I have to do something about the name. My girlfriend Bethenny wasn’t thrilled with that,” Morgan shared.

Of course, Morgan has yet to officially change the name of her new brand. Instead, she has been adding it as a hashtag in her posts on social media. “Who’s watching #RHONY tonite?” Morgan wrote on Twitter. “@MarcoM57 and me celebrate our birthdays at @CanoeStudios! Bubbly by #TipsyGirl.”

Meanwhile, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bethenny Frankel has responded to Morgan’s party with a particularly harsh blog post. Not only did Frankel list Morgan’s previous business ventures, but she also accused her friend of creating investments just for the sake of reality TV.

“Sonja has had: an event company, a jewelry line, toaster, Nigerian football team, fashion line, and now a Prosecco – none of which have come to fruition. It is laughable but more sad,” Frankel wrote. “Women, this is not how it works. This is the problem when being a reality star is your actual job versus having a career the show follows. People create imaginary businesses to stay relevant.”

Frankel might be on to something. After all, other housewives in the franchise have attempted to launch alcohol lines in the past and failed.

“Ramona, Teresa, Kathy Wakile, NeNe, Vicki, and the OC girls and more have all followed suit. I know the numbers and believe me, it isn’t easy, and almost all have discontinued or are currently a vanity play,” Frankel continued. “I have begrudged none of them. There is room for everyone, and I hit it out of the park.”

That being said, it isn’t clear when Morgan’s brand of Prosecco will be available on the market or whether or not it will actually be released.

Whatever ends up happening, it is clear that Frankel’s relationship with Morgan is going downhill fast, and the drama between them will be fun to watch in the coming installment.

The next episode of the Real Housewives of New York hits television Wednesday night on Bravo.
