As Scream Queens Season 2 gears up for its still unannounced premiere date, Emma Roberts admits that she’s already thinking of Chanel Oberlin’s outfits. The former president of Kappa Kappa Tau is not only known for being cunning, but also for her impeccable fashion style.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, Emma said that she doesn’t know yet if Chanel’s two-storey wardrobe in the previous season will follow her new room at the asylum.
“I don’t know. I’m wondering what the outfits are going to look like. Mental hospital chic. If anyone can do it, she can.”
The Nancy Drew actress recently dyed her hair in a shade that appeared to be rose gold. She told the magazine that after being blonde for seven months because of Chanel’s character, it was good to be a redhead again. “It’s sad I’m going to have to die my hair blonde again because I’m loving being a redhead,” she said.
Although Emma remains secretive of the other cast members who will join Scream Queens Season 2, she can’t wait to reunite with some of her co-stars including Billie Lourd, Abegail Breslin, and Lea Michele. She hopes that Glen Powell of the Dickie Dollar Scholars will come back too. She teases that while she loved Chanel and Chad Radwell’s tandem, there would be new love interests in the show.
In the season finale of Scream Queens, viewers saw the Chanels checked into a mental hospital after being accused for the campus murders. It was previously revealed that the storyline of Scream Queens Season 2 would take place in the asylum.
What makes the asylum different is that the patients have to undergo unorthodox treatments. Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as Cathy Munsch, although, she is no longer the school dean. Showrunner Brad Falchuk revealed that following the killings, Dean Munsch “has abolished the Greek system in the country, she’s written her book, she’s traveled the world, and is like, ‘I need a new mission.'”
Using her earnings as an author, she purchases the hospital that will again reunite her with the Chanels who are now pursuing medical careers because of the offered opportunities inside the asylum. Dean Munsch will run the hospital using her own “bizarre brand.”
Previous reports have emerged that Harry Styles might join the show as one of the “three hunky doctors” Falchuk is looking for. The speculations started when Ryan Murphy said that a “big pop star” would join the show. Michele also expressed her excitement to InStyle.
“I also heard a rumor that he may, I don’t know if this is true, but he said at a press thing recently that he is talking to a male pop star to come for next year. If it’s Harry Styles, everybody better calm down. I love One Direction. Everybody knows this. I’m also thinking that he should be in the Wicked movie. He’s our modern day Mick Jagger.”
The show’s Twitter account dismissed the rumors, but viewers think that it’s a mere diversionary tactic.
The rumors also prompted Niecy Nash or Officer Denise Hemphill to suggest other male pop stars who could join the cast. If the One Direction member is on board, Niecy thinks that Jason Derulo and Justin Bieber are great choices for the remaining physicians’ slots.
Lea Michele will return to Scream Queens Season 2 as well. It is believed that her character Hester will be involved in another murder, although, this time, she might not be the perpetrator, but instead, the victim.
As for Emma, she remains excited about the things that will happen in Scream Queens Season 2.
“Whenever I get my new script I sit down and read it right away because I’m just as excited to read it even though I’m on the show. People watch [the show] because you truly never know what’s going to get thrown your way.”
