Drake On Jimmy Fallon: Impersonates Dad, Father Tries To Sell Drizzy An RV? [Video]

Drake puts his acting skills to work when he impersonates his dad on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. For whatever reason, Drizzy’s father thought to sell him on an RV. Aubrey’s impression is hilarious.

Drake’s interview with Jimmy Fallon begins with a congratulatory welcoming toward Drizzy’s record-breaking album, Views. Drake was recognized for his No. 1 album, and Jimmy mentioned that the Views artist currently has 20 songs on the Billboard 100. That’s a whopping 20 percent. The Inquisitr covered that story in another article.

Almost immediately, Drake’s interview turns comical when he responds, “It’s been a slow week.”

Yet, Drizzy counters by giving sincere thanks to all of his supporters and everyone who helped make Views the high-flying success it is today.

During the entire interview, you can see Tiny Drake on his shoulder as well as on several other items around Fallon’s desk, including Jimmy himself. Tiny Drake has made various appearances on other shows also, including Ellen.

To digress, as the interview continues, Fallon asks Drizzy about his artistry and skill level. He wanted to know if Drake’s talent comes from his mother or father — or both.

Drake responds as follows.

“I think I get the words from my mother. She was an English teacher. She taught… from kindergarten to grade 5. And, [is] just one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met. Uh, Scrabble champion. She’s just a top-shelf lady…a top-shelf kinda gal, man…I get the words from her, and I get a lot from my father.”

Then, the conversation turned to Drake’s dad, Dennis. As the screen zoomed in for a close-up to a recent photo of Drizzy’s father, Drake began to explain that his pops is currently in Shanghai, China. Below is the photo Jimmy brought onto the show.

As commentary on the photo, Drake mentioned, “I think this was just a regular Tuesday afternoon.”

Then, Drake goes on to elaborate on a recent FaceTime conversation between himself and his dad. During the interview, Drake states as follows.

“He FaceTimed me yesterday, and he was like, ‘Uh, Drake! I wanna tell you man, I got a RV for sale, man.’ And, I’m like, ‘What does that have to do with?…… what am I?’ He was like, ‘Man, I’m in Shanghai, and my friend’s got this RV for sale.'”

Drake mentioned that he asked his father if he realized what was actually happening back home and if he knew that he had just dropped a new album. To this, Drake’s dad responded that he loved the album. However, once Drizzy asked him which track was his favorite, Dennis responded as follows.

“Drake, man, I’mma be honest with you. My service is not too good out here, but… I’mma get around to it.”

After a few more laughs, the conversation moved further to Drake’s Virginia Black whiskey launch. Jimmy Fallon happened to have a bottle behind the desk. He also brought out two glasses for a taste test. Moreover, he wanted to make a toast to Drake’s success. Upon “Cheers!” the two sipped. Well, Jimmy sipped. Drake guzzled it like water — taking no breaks.

As the crowd enjoyed Drake’s takedown, he looked toward Jimmy Fallon, somewhat signalling for him to finish. However, the host humorously expressed, “I have a whole show that I have to do. Sorry. I’m hosting a show.”

According to People, Drake’s Virginia Black is great.

The interview actually continued further into games and other antics between Drake and Fallon. It was a preliminary interview to Drizzy’s Saturday Night Live gig on May 14, as noted by E! Online. This isn’t the first time Drake has hosted the comedy show. Similar to the last time he did, Drizzy just cut off his beard. The Inquisitr also covered that story in another article.

All in all, how do you feel about Drake’s interview with Jimmy Fallon? His acting skills are still up to par, yes? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
