The news that rapper Drake has cut his beard is swirling on the internet, and it seems people are losing their minds at the possibility that the impeccably groomed facial hair is gone. Unfortunately, the reports are true, and Drake Aubrey Graham is no longer a member of the Beard Gang, making the announcement early Friday morning.
Drake utterly shocked fans when he posted a picture of his very naked face on Instagram that had many wishing it was Thursday and it was all for a throwback. The fact that Drake cut his beard is already shaping this up to be a truly terrible Friday the 13th. The league of men who possess extraordinary facial hair has lost a truly great member, all for his dedication to his craft.
The now-deleted Instagram picture was captioned with an explanation that in no way changes the state that he has left his fans in.
“Beard making an epic comeback in 2 weeks….only for you @nbcsnl.”
The beardless picture depicted a Drake that looked a lot like he did when he was first breaking into the industry, though Uproxx, in their heartbreak, called it an “unrecognizable mug” as they sought comfort in the solidarity with women around the world. The reference that the caption made to the NBC show is in regards to a scheduled upcoming appearance on the infamous Saturday Night Live (SNL) this Saturday, May 14.
We hope that whatever his appearance on Saturday Night Live tomorrow night entails, it is worth the tears and heartache that followed Drake having to shave his beard. As the Source pointed out, this is the first time the rapper has gone beardless in over a year. It is also a return to the bare-faced Drizzy who first appeared on SNL back in 2014.

The casually released Instagram photo of Drake without his beard has sparked many responses from the women of Twitter as they try to make sense of a senseless Friday the 13th horror and seem to just be drowning in their grief.
One inconsolable soul with the Twitter handle @amyygraace wrote of her extreme displeasure with a desire to be left alone with her thoughts on this day of misery.
“I’m not happy! No one text me! DRAKE F**KING CUT HIS BEARD OFFFJDNDJDN NDODKEKSKKE.”
A barrage of other women expressed similar sentiments on Twitter about just how Drake shaving his beard makes them see him now. The promise of the beard’s return in two weeks seems to have done little to assuage the mayhem. Even the men sensed what the shaving of the beard would mean.

NBC’s Saturday Night Live has Drake scheduled to appear as the host and musical guest for the second time. With this scandalous cutting of his beard, Drake’s SNL appearance is certain to draw a huge crowd of women and men trying to see exactly why the beard had to go. Certainly half of the media who have reported on the news are hoping that it was really and truly worth it.
A lot of women openly admit that the period where Drake started getting all beefy and grew that beard was the best thing he could have done for his rap career.
