Selena Gomez Workout: How She Got Slim For Her ‘Revival’ Tour

Selena Gomez has been shaping up for her Revival World Tour. The sexy songstress has been making headlines for cuddling up to Katy Perry’s boyfriend, Orlando Bloom. Apparently, Selena’s workout has been working very well in her favor even though she’s stepping on her fellow pop star’s toes.

Now both Selena Gomez and her personal trainer are spilling the secrets about how she achieved her sexy new bod. In an interview with Vogue, Gomez talked about her workout routine for her Revival World Tour. She has enlisted the help of her personal trainer Amy Rosoff Davis, who told the publication that she has a “really fun friendship” with the singer. Gomez revealed that she likes to mix up her workouts in order not to get easily bored.

“Once we started rehearsing, I was doing Pilates, SoulCycle, every form of yoga. Basically, I wanted to mix things up because I get bored easily. I just try to keep it fresh. I love how Pilates makes me feel, like it opens me up. I have the hardest time breathing, weirdly enough.”

The girls also go on hikes with Selena’s dance crew, where they’ll mix it up with “arm dancing” and circuit training. Like most celebrities, Selena likes to juice. But she also drinks water throughout the day. Sel says she makes sure to keep stock of it in every room she frequents – even the bathroom!

“I always have water, tons of water. It’s even in my bathroom because I used to be so bad at drinking water and I want to stay hydrated.”

When it comes to keeping fruit around for her juice, “I do two carrots, ginger, I do one piece of celery — I know, that’s lame, but one — and then half of a beet. Those are the things I always keep around.”

Amy Rosoff Davis also shared some of Selena Gomez’s secrets with Marie Claire. She said that she worked out with the “Hands to Myself” singer three to five times per week leading up to Gomez’s big tour. But the ladies decided to kick it up to seven times per week for up to two hours per session. Here are some of the workouts that Rosoff has Gomez do to stay slim and sexy on tour. There are no unhealthy habits happening here.

“I’ve never weighed her. I don’t believe in scales—I just don’t think it’s healthy,” she added.

Fans have noticed that Selena’s weight has dramatically gone up and down over the years. Amy says that she’s noticed it as well.

“I can definitely see the difference, and other people can too. But ultimately, a body that eats well and works is going to look better because it’s healthy.”

Last year, Selena Gomez made headlines when she was spotted on a vacation in Mexico in a pink bikini. Online trolls slammed Selena for looking fat in the photos, although she was clearly wearing an ill-fitting swimsuit. The singer hit back by posting a sexy photo of herself wearing a one-piece swimsuit, which she captioned, “I love being happy with me yall,” along with the hashtag #theresmoretolove.

Not only does Selena not weigh herself, but she also doesn’t follow any Hollywood crash diets. There’s nothing off-limits when it comes to eating what she wants, but Amy has suggested to the pop star that she should eat everything in moderation.

“I want to live my life like a French person. I don’t believe in denying yourself, but I also believe in moderation. Life is too short not to enjoy food.”

When it comes to indulging, the brunette beauty enjoys eating fast food and Tex-Mex food every once in a while. But once Amy gets a whiff of any fast food on Selena’s tour bus, she will throw it away and suggest that she eats veggies with hummus instead. However, Selena’s new and improved eating habits have been the secret to her tight and taut stomach.

“She responds really quickly. We’ll do barely any ab exercises and two days later, I’m like, ‘Whoa!'” she added.

On a normal day, Selena Gomez will opt for a turkey salad with avocado, beans, and a special dressing made with red wine vinegar, olive oil, dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Or she’ll eat a teriyaki chicken bowl with avocado, chicken, or fish, over rice or sushi.
