Miranda Lambert And Anderson East Update: Singer Impacted By Blake Shelton’s New Song?
Miranda Lambert and Anderson East have been dating for months, but ahead of the release of her ex-husband’s new album, it is her past relationship with Blake Shelton that has taken center stage.
Earlier this week, Shelton announced news of a divorce-related track on his new album, If I’m Honest, which hits stores next week. According to a new report, Miranda Lambert may have been the inspiration. However, even if she was, she doesn’t seem to be upset by the song. Instead, she’s understanding of Shelton’s creative process as an artist.
“[Miranda Lambert] is aware of what country artists do when creating new music,” a source revealed to E! News on May 10. “She is not upset at the lyrics because she knows it’s just how it goes, especially as a country artist… She is always thinking and currently working on new lyrics and song ideas and many of those ideas steam from the past, present and future experiences.”

During one of Blake Shelton’s appearances earlier this week at the Honda Stage in Los Angeles, where he was performing tracks from his new album, he spoke of the inspiration behind “I Bet You Still Think About Me.”
“It’s basically what it sounds like. At some point, whether you go through a divorce or a breakup or whatever, once you get past the anger and the frustration of it all, you kind of go into the sad part of it where it’s just like, ‘Gosh, how come that didn’t work out?'” he explained to E! News. “And that’s what this song is about. Even though stuff didn’t work out, I bet you miss me a little bit. It’s a sad song.”

Although Shelton and Lambert’s relationship ended less than a year ago, the source said that when their marriage came to an end, “she missed him and he missed her.”
Months after her divorce, Miranda Lambert moved on from her marriage and embarked on a relationship with R&B singer Anderson East. In January, the couple confirmed their relationship with a photo on Instagram, and now, E! News’ report claims they are preparing to move in together and possibly start a family.
“[Miranda Lambert] and Anderson are talking about moving in with each other,” the source shared. “It’s getting pretty serious. They want children and have shared their thoughts with each other on that subject.”
As Perez Hilton reported on May 11, Miranda Lambert is talking kids and seems to be in a great place with Anderson.
In addition to rumors of a possibly upcoming pregnancy, Miranda Lambert and East have also reportedly been planning to tie the knot. Less than one month ago, OK! Magazine shared a report regarding news of Miranda Lambert and East’s allegedly upcoming wedding.
While Miranda Lambert and East aren’t yet engaged, an In Touch Weekly source claimed an engagement was coming and revealed the pair had already been ring shopping.
“They are planning to get married before the end of the year, and [Miranda Lambert] has even talked about a date in early fall, right after she furnishes her extensive concert tour,” the source said.
According to the report, Miranda Lambert and East have decided to tie the knot in a “down-home Southern wedding,” likely in Nashville, Tennessee.
Miranda Lambert and East have not commented on In Touch Weekly’s report, nor have they spoken out at all about what their future may hold.
