Who Is Behind Tonight’s Two ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Proposals?

With the current season of Grey’s Anatomy coming to a close, many couples seem to be on the verge of either a proposal or a complete meltdown. The latest Grey’s Anatomy promo teased two proposals and a hook up, so fans will have to stay tuned to see who falls into which category. Some of the front-runners are Alex and Jo, April and Jackson, and Owen and Amelia, but which Grey’s couple will take it to the next level?

According to the Inquisitr, Owen has had a rough road this season on Grey’s Anatomy, as he had Nathan Riggs, a former friend from his past, show up unexpectedly. Owen’s reaction to the shock altered his relationship with Amelia, which in turn sent her into a tailspin on the heels of the death of her brother, Dr. Derek Shepherd. Could Amelia and Owen be one of the couples facing a proposal tonight on Grey’s?

Entertainment Weekly posed the question to readers, who do you think will be getting engaged tonight on Grey’s Anatomy? The obvious choice is Alex and Jo, as viewers of Grey’s Anatomy know that Alex has been hiding an engagement ring for some time. Camilla Luddington, who plays Jo says it’s about time that there is some movement with the relationship of Alex and Jo.

“It’s a long time coming, in my point of view, for Jo to finally answer that question. That ring has been in a box in a drawer for I don’t know how many months now.”

Luddington thinks that there needs to be some clarification before the end of this season of Grey’s Anatomy, because fans have been left hanging.

It would be especially redeeming for Owen and Amelia to have something positive happen for them. Both Grey’s Anatomy characters have been through it personally, and suffered such loss, that fans think that something good should come their way. In just the last year, Amelia lost her brother and fell off the wagon, while Owen is coming off a recent divorce, and is now once again dealing with the loss of his sister.

But perhaps the wildcard of Grey-Sloan couples? That would be April and Jackson, who have just gotten divorced, only to find out that they are once again, expecting a baby, after the death of their first newborn. Will April and Jackson reunite for the sake of their unborn child? Will tonight be their big night on Grey’s Anatomy?

Parade is hinting that one of the Grey’s Anatomy couples with a big night ahead will be Owen and Amelia, because Owen has decided that he is sick of being in a holding pattern, and wants to move forward with his life, and wants to be with Amelia, flaws and all. Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen, says he is hoping for something good for Owen.

“Owen decides he’s going to take a huge step. And, since that huge step involves his newly recommitted girlfriend, naturally, that kind of leads them into a conversation about,’What is the future for us?”

Ellen Pompeo, who plays the title character of Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy, believes that Jo and Alex are in some trouble, as they are in different places personally, and in their careers.

“It’s not good between them… She’s pushing him away. There is a big Alex and Jo situation happening that’s going to explain a lot of why they haven’t gotten together yet.”

But no matter who moves their relationship to a new level tonight on Grey’s Anatomy, it should be a big night.
