Elizabeth Warren ‘Didn’t Have The Guts,’ Donald Trump Says

Elizabeth Warren and Donald Trump have had a pretty vitriolic relationship since Warren took to attacking the GOP frontrunner on Twitter.

Never one to back down from a fight, the Donald has recently launched a new attack, stating that the U.S. Senator from Massachusetts isn’t in the presidential race because she lacks “guts.”

Warren has come under fire for claiming Native American heritage with no proof and using it to her advantage throughout her career.

At best, she could be 1/32 Cherokee, which is not enough “to become a member of any of the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes based on the evidence so far surfaced by independent genealogists about her ancestry,” according to the Atlantic.

That was not a fact that went unnoticed by Donald Trump as he counterattacked Elizabeth Warren on Twitter.

Trump also hit Warren for mischaracterizing his stance on the minimum wage and for “playing the Woman’s card” like her friend “crooked Hillary.” He also took her to task for spending “all day” tweeting about Donald Trump instead of getting anything done in the Senate.

Elizabeth Warren, for her part, has been taking the fight back to Trump with her own barrage of tweets that promise to keep this fight going clear through November.

While it isn’t clear who might end up winning this battle, it’s clearly a risk for both. On the Warren side, she is venturing into a political terrain that has not been too favorable for anyone brave enough to undertake it.

Trump vanquished 16 rivals and has all but secured the nomination. He is on pace to get more votes than any other Republican nominee in the history of the U.S. His own party spent hundreds of millions of dollars to stop him while he self-funded his campaign and still managed to defy the odds.

On the Trump side, he has already come under fire for comments that some have characterized as misogynistic, and with his likely opponent Hillary Clinton, two big fights with strong female politicians won’t do much to repair that image.

One thing Trump has done well throughout the election cycle, however, is branding — a point that even former President Bill Clinton praises the real estate mogul for.

Trump’s branding powers have been on full display from his “Make America Great Again” message that tapped into the frustrations many voters felt with a political system they believed to be corrupt and ineffectual.

He then branded Jeb Bush, the party favorite, as “a low-energy guy,” which stuck and soured frustrated GOP voters on W’s brother early.

After that, it was “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz and “Little Marco” Rubio. When Mitt Romney stepped up to the plate, Trump reminded everyone about “the choker” and his unsuccessful 2012 bid.

Now he’s on to “crooked Hillary,” which seems to be gaining traction amid an ongoing FBI investigation into her use of a private email server while Secretary of State.

By labeling Elizabeth Warren “the Indian,” Trump is attempting to control the fight by making it about that questionable part of the Senator’s history.

Only time will tell if it works, but what do you think, readers?
