Dorinda Medley’s net worth is on the rise, even with the latest reports that her boyfriend John has sued a ski resort. According to reports, the Real Housewives of New York star is a lot richer than you think she is.

Dorinda Medley reportedly has a net worth of $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Certainly, most of her money doesn’t come from starring on episodes of RHONY. Medley also makes her money for her philanthropy work in New York City. The housewife made her first appearance as the friend of Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer, but has since become a mainstay during Season 7.

Her net worth is mostly generated from appearing on the Bravo series, along with earning money from making promotional appearances and posting Instagram endorsements. Dorinda’s net worth is expected to be on the rise, as she has quickly become the most successful and popular housewife on the reality show.

Prior to appearing on Real Housewives of New York, she got her start working in the Liz Claiborne showrooms in NYC. Then Medley moved to London to live with her first husband and start her first fashion company, DLC Cashmere. After 10 years of marriage, she filed for divorce, sold her company, and moved back to New York City with her daughter, Hannah.

She then married for the second time after living her life in New York as a single mom. Her husband Richard Medley worked as a partner and hedge fund adviser at George Soros. A hedge fund adviser often sets up or manages privately funded assets such as smart pension plans, corporations, and limited partnerships.

Richard worked as a chief economist for the U.S. Banking Committee back in 2005. The couple worked on many fundraising causes involving Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Desmond Tutu, and Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2011. Dorinda reportedly inherited some of his money after his death.

Now Dorinda Medley is dating her boyfriend John Mahdessian. Though their relationship has become the focal point of Season 7, the couple has proven on social media that they’re stronger than ever. Despite the rift between Dorinda and her friends, she has been determined to stay by her man, no matter what.

The couple have shared many special moments on Instagram, including loving collages and vacation photos.

Meanwhile, the media has been digging up dirt about Dorinda’s boyfriend. John Mahdessian filed a lawsuit against a ski resort following an accident that led to injuries on the property. The court documents found that he’s seeking over $70,000 in damages.

According to the court filings revealed by Radar Online, Mahdessian sustained multiple injuries while skiing on the resort owned by The Stratton Corporation when he visited on Jan. 18, 1997. According to the lawsuit, Mahdessian skied down the Suntanner Trail “when he suddenly and without warning encountered an unmarked, manmade, hazard.”

“Plaintiff collided with this unmarked, manmade hazard and fell. He heard a loud internal cracking sound upon impact,” the papers read.

John claims that he was in control of his skiing and had “no advance warning of the presence of the manmade hazard, and thus has no reasonable opportunity to avoid skiing into it.” The reality star claims he suffered “massive and permanent physical and emotional injuries” from the accident, including a broken back.

The jury sided with The Stratton Corporation and claims that Mahdessian was at fault, not the resort. He ended up owing the ski resort $2,708.11 for trial costs, including court reporting, expert witnesses, and videographer fees. This isn’t the first time that Mahdessian has been involved in a lawsuit. Radar Online has previously exposed a lawsuit accusing him of discrimination against an employee of Madame Paulette back in 2014.
