JoJo Fletcher Was ‘Nervous’ To Be The Next ‘Bachelorette’ Claims Former ‘Bachelor’ Sean Lowe

JoJo Fletcher has built up quite the resume in the world of reality TV. Not only did Fletcher make it the final round of The Bachelor, but she is currently starring in the new season of The Bachelorette. Although Fletcher appears calm and confident on the outside, former Bachelor star Sean Lowe recently revealed that Fletcher is anything but nerve-free.

According to Reality TV World, Lowe and Fletcher have known each other for a number of years. While Fletcher geared up for her time in the spotlight, Lowe revealed that she was nervous because of all the unknowns going into the series.

“It’s actually funny,” Lowe shared in an interview with People. “I’m actually friends with her brother back home in Dallas. Talking to him, he said that she was kind of nervous going in, didn’t know what to expect.”

Lowe, who met his current wife, Catherine Giudici, during Season 17 of The Bachelor, went on to share some advice for Fletcher. As fans will recall, Fletcher finished second on The Bachelor in a heartbreaking finale with Ben Higgins and is looking to find true love for the second time on television.

As far as Lowe is concerned, Fletcher will be successful as long as she has fun. With a little bit of luck, she might even find the perfect match.

“Have fun, go in there with an open mind, an open heart,” Lowe stated. “Have fun, enjoy it and if you’re lucky, or I should probably say ‘blessed,’ you might find someone as good as I did. Find your life partner.”

Lowe and Giudici are getting ready for the birth of their first baby together. While the two get ready for parenthood, they had some advice for keeping a relationship strong and lasting. Not only did they emphasize commitment, but they also cautioned against distractions, which are all too common in the world of reality TV.

“I think the most important thing is you just have to commit to each other,” Lowe said. “It’s going to be tough, you’re going to face all kinds of challenges and obstacles. Commit and don’t let these distractions get in the way, and you’ll be fine.”

Nerves and good advice aside, Buddy TV is reporting that fans are in for a number of surprises during JoJo Fletcher’s time on The Bachelorette. In fact, the premiere is expected to feature a surprise guest from Fletcher’s past. Will the new face create tension between Fletcher’s suitors?

Although some fans have speculated that the visitor is an ex-boyfriend of Fletcher’s, it now appears as though Jake Pavelka is the unexpected guest during the premiere. Pavelka starred in the 14th season of The Bachelor and has known Fletcher and her family for a long time.

While the new contestants will view Pavelka as a threat, he is not in the competition for Fletcher’s heart. Instead, the former reality star is only making an appearance to dish out some friendly advice for Fletcher.

It isn’t known what kind of advice Pavelka will give Fletcher, but he has enough experience in the relationship department. During his time on The Bachelor, Pavelka became engaged to Vienna Girardi. Although their engagement did not last long, Pavelka can definitely help Fletcher in her quest to find her future husband.

Of course, Fletcher can draw from her experiences on The Bachelor to help guide her along in the new season. However, whether or not her time on the show results in a lasting relationship is yet to be seen.

Fans can watch Fletcher make her debut on The Bachelorette on May 19 on ABC.
