Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Update: Are They Planning For A Wedding And A Baby And Quitting ‘The Voice’?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for several months, but are they ready to take the next step in their relationship? As the couple debuted their new duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on Monday’s episode of The Voice, a report surfaced regarding a possible pregnancy and engagement.

In recent months, Gwen Stefani has denied being pregnant and even joked about it on April’s Fool with an online sonogram. But when it comes to her future with Shelton, a baby is certainly possible.

On May 8, Hollywood Take revealed Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton had taken her two oldest children, Kingston, 9, and Zuma, 7, to the premiere of The Angry Birds Movie in Los Angeles amid rumors of a “false pregnancy.”

As he spoke to press at the event, Shelton “was smiling from ear to ear” as Gwen Stefani’s song, “Make Me Like You,” played in the background. While inside, as Us Weekly revealed, Gwen Stefani “rubbed [Blake’s] knee eagerly, like she was expressing her excitement to see his song in the movie. The two of them could barely keep their eyes off each other in the theatre!”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have appeared to be quite family-oriented in recent months as they continue to spend time with her boys, including her youngest son, Apollo, 2. Ever since their relationship began, fans have been wondering when the couple will start a family of their own.

Although Gwen Stefani and Shelton are quite busy with their careers at the moment, a couple of recent reports have hinted that they may soon have more time on their hands.

Gwen Stefani appeared as a coach on The Voice during Season 7 and Season 9, and during Season 10, she was featured as an advisor. However, despite alternating previous seasons as coach, Stefani was not included in the Season 11 cast. Instead, producers opted to bring aboard two new stars, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. According to a report, Gwen Stefani wasn’t happy about the decision.

“[Gwen Stefani] is livid that she was not asked to replace Christina on The Voice next season, and because of this she wants to quit the show altogether,” a source told Radar Online earlier this month. “[Gwen Stefani] and Blake seem to feel that Christina was responsible for this because she wanted to piss Gwen off, and it did!”

Days later, a second source spoke to Radar Online claiming Shelton was also considering quitting the show.

“Blake is mulling over the possibility of quitting the show after this next season,” the source explained. “He is saying that he loves The Voice because it brought him to [Gwen Stefani], but that he ultimately wants to focus more on his career and give other artists the opportunity that he has had.”

Shelton and Adam Levine will return to The Voice for Season 11 along with Cyrus and Keys, but when it comes to Season 12, there hasn’t yet been any cast confirmations.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went public with their romance in November of last year during a Country Music Awards after party in Nashville, Tennessee. Since then, they have been seen throughout Los Angeles and in his hometown in Oklahoma.

Prior to Gwen Stefani’s relationship with Shelton, she was married to Gavin Rossdale for 13 years. Meanwhile, Shelton was married to Miranda Lambert for 4 years.
