Brandi Glanville Hooks Up With LeAnn Rimes’ Ex Dean Sheremet For Reality Show

Brandi Glanville is joining forces with someone who has a whole lot in common with her: LeAnn Rimes’ ex-husband, Dean Sheremet. Glanville and Sheremet will team up for the reality TV cooking competition, My Kitchen Rules, according to Entertainment Tonight. Dean Sheremet is a professional chef and Brandi Glanville is a professional reality star and wine entrepreneur, so this sounds like a recipe for a match made in heaven.

Brandi and Dean have shared a common bond ever since 2010 when their exes, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes, left them for one another. Now they’ll share a much more pleasant bond as reality TV co-stars on the cooking competition based on the Australian reality show of the same name.

My Kitchen Rules will feature Glanville and Sheremet competing against one another to turn an ordinary kitchen into an instant eatery. While Dean has the cooking expertise, Brandi competed on Celebrity Apprentice, so this really could be anyone’s game.

Glanville’s fans may recall that Sheremet was a guest on her “Unfiltered” podcast earlier this year. During their chat, Brandi recounted the time that they were playing pool together with their exes in Canada where Eddie and LeAnn were shooting the TV movie Northern Lights. That was when Brandi Glanville first realized her husband Eddie was having an affair with his Lifetime movie co-star.

Brandi Glanville wrote all about the disastrous double date in her tell-all memoir Drinking & Tweeting. In her book, Glanville revealed that when she traveled to Calgary to visit her husband of nine years while he was shooting on location, she insisted on meeting Rimes so they two couples went out on a double date to a bar. Brandi detailed that Dean ignored his wife’ incessant flirting with Eddie, but by the end of the evening when the two movie co-stars performed a karaoke rendition of Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe,” she was convinced they were sleeping together and told Dean as much.

In an interview last year with the lifestyle website Nat’s Next Adventure, Dean also talked about the pool hall date, saying he clearly remembered the night he knew his wife was having an affair with Brandi Glanville’s husband.

“I’ll never forget this: There was this bar that everyone hung out at after set, and I remember coming down the stairs and seeing the two of them shooting pool together,” Sheremet said. “I could just tell by the body language that everything had changed. …All of a sudden, there was a huge shift. I totally felt foolish. I felt like this pathetic husband hanging around.”

Both marriages ended shortly thereafter and LeAnn and Eddie went on to get married in 2011.

Sheremet hasn’t been as vocal about his ex as Brandi Glanville has, but earlier this year in the forward to his new cookbook, Eat Your Heart Out, he wrote that after “she cheated,” his life was broken and in pieces.

“Cooking helped me put my life back together again.” Dean wrote.

In 2010, LeAnn Rimes told E! News that while she didn’t regret getting involved with Cibrian, she wished she had handled things differently because so many people got hurt.

“I don’t like the word regret,” the Grammy winner said. “I wish I handled it differently because I wish I could have been better for me, for Brandi, for Dean, for Eddie, and for everyone else.”

Seven years later, everyone has moved on—Sheremet is even remarried—and last year LeAnn and Eddie attempted to set the record straight about their marriage with a short-lived VH1 reality show. That show failed, so the new Brandi Glanville-Dean Sheremet cooking show team-up is proof that the best revenge is a sweet reality TV deal.
