Do you want to see a man jump to his death? What if it’s legendary director Tony Scott? Unfortunately, you may get that chance.
A video of Scott’s suicide jump off of the 180-foot tall bridge over Los Angeles Harbor is being shopped around to various news outlets.
According to TMZ, several people started taking photos and videos with their cellphones when they noticed someone standing on the ledge of the bridge. The moment was also apparently captured by a surveillance camera at a nearby business. At least one of those videos has gone up for sale. It’s unclear how much the seller is asking for the Tony Scott death video, but, so far, no one has taken the bait.
Police are still looking for a motive behind Tony Scott’s suicide, and an autopsy is currently being conducted. Some sources say that Scott had inoperable brain cancer, but the director’s widow insists that the rumor isn’t true. The reason behind Scott’s suicide isn’t clear, but the void he’ll leave in the entertainment industry is obvious.
Scott created action classics like Top Gun with Tom Cruise and Man on Fire with Denzel Washington.
After Scott’s death, Cruise said:
-“He was a creative visionary whose mark on film is immeasurable…. My deepest sorrow and thoughts are with his family at this time.”
In the wake of Tony Scott’s death, his brother, Ridley Scott, announced that he was stopping production on his current movie in order to spend time with his family.
Do you think the video of Tony Scott’s death will be purchased by a media outlet?
