Ozzy Osbourne Split: Affair Speculation Rises As Rocker Resurfaces, Denies Drug Relapse

Ozzy Osbourne split from his wife, Sharon Osbourne, and was nowhere to be found amidst rumors that Sharon had thrown him out of the house. However, Ozzy has since resurfaced. According to Page Six, Ozzy Osbourne was booted from his Los Angeles home at the end of last week following reports of an alleged affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.

After disappearing for a short period of time, the long-haired rocker was spotted walking through the streets of Los Angeles while carrying his dog on Monday. Ozzy Osbourne was still wearing his wedding ring.

According to the Sun, 63-year-old Sharon Osbourne kicked her husband of 34 years out of their home after claiming to have evidence that Ozzy had been unfaithful with Michelle Pugh. With Ozzy out on his own, it was widely feared that he had relapsed back into drugs and alcohol (something he has famously and very publicly battled before).

Speaking to E! News over the weekend, however, Ozzy Osbourne vehemently denied that he had fallen off the wagon.

“I have been sober for three and a quarter years. I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

The Sun reports that since the split, Ozzy Osbourne has been staying in a Los Angeles hotel but has been in touch with his two children, Kelly and Jack. It was also reported by a source close to the family that he is well known at the hotel and that he has stayed there before when he and Sharon were fighting.

Ozzy Osbourne split rumors have dominated the headlines over the course of the weekend, with further fuel added to the fire when Sharon Osbourne was absent for Monday’s episode of The Talk. This notable absence led co-host Julie Chen to address the situation, according to E! News.

“As we get started, Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines of her and Ozzy, rumors and speculations that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off and we are sending all of our love to her and to her family. And we ask that you do the same.”

Furthermore, the story of Ozzy Osbourne’s affair being the reason for his split from Sharon (as opposed to a drug relapse) seems more likely after Michelle Pugh (whose clients include Jennifer Lopez and Alicia Silverstone) canceled a number of her appointments. Pugh reportedly called in to work with a “personal emergency.”

She also deleted a number of cryptic messages from her Instagram account on Sunday, including the one below.

“Love isn’t keeping someone in your corral and under thumb, love is letting someone be with you who they can’t with most — themselves.”

Ozzy Osbourne’s split was addressed by the Osbourne family publicist on Sunday, May 8. The publicist confirmed that Ozzy was not staying at the couple’s Beverley Hills home and that the Black Sabbath frontman sent a card and bouquet to his wife after being kicked out.

According to the Sun, a source added further detail to the story.

“She said she had suspected something had been going on for some time and now had proof. Ozzy was extremely sheepish and admitted being close to Michelle. Ozzy and Sharon are always arguing and she’s kicked him out before but it feels more than that this time.”

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne split rumors have dominated the headlines before, most recently in 2013, when the couple temporarily separated due to Ozzy’s relapse. It seems only time will tell whether or not Sharon and Ozzy, a couple famed for their chaotic and dramatic relationship, will reconcile.
