Sharon Osbourne To Address Separation From Ozzy On ‘The Talk’ As Rocker Sets The Record Straight On His Sobriety

Sharon Osbourne took a day off from The Talk amid rumors that she and her husband, Ozzy, are divorcing after 33 years of marriage, but the very vocal Mrs. O is expected to make a return to the CBS chatfest on Tuesday to address the headlines about her marriage, according to Entertainment Tonight. Sharon reportedly let CBS staffers know that she would be taking a “personal day” on Monday, but she is expected to address the breakup on-air when she returns.

Talk host Julie Chen addressed Sharon Osbourne’s absence at the top of Monday’s edition of the daily talk show, telling viewers that Osbourne “understandably” needed the day off.

“There were many tabloid headlines this weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after 33 years of marriage,” Chen said. “Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same.”

Sharon Osbourne has addressed her marital woes on the show in the past, so it’s not surprising that she will share the personal story with viewers once again. In 2013, when tabloids reported that she and her husband were no longer living together and were headed for divorce, Sharon used her forum on the hit CBS chatfest to set the record straight. Sharon explained that while “there’s always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported,” the story often “gets very distorted” in the tabloids. Sharon also said that she and her husband had dealt with much worse in their marriage.

Sharon Osbourne will address her personal situation on The Talk just weeks after her fellow co-host, Aisha Tyler, used the CBS chatfest forum to come clean about her own divorce. Tyler and her husband, Jeff Tietjens, recently decided to end their 23-year marriage. Tyler, who had kept mum about her separation from her husband for more than a year, broke down during an emotional announcement on the CBS daytime show. Tyler said she had wanted to keep her divorce private until it was finalized, but tabloids broke the story after reporters got their hands on courthouse records.

Sharon Osbourne’s split from her spouse isn’t quite as surprising, as the couple has been fielding divorce rumors for years. What would be surprising is if the divorce actually happens. Some insiders still think it’s not a done deal, as the couple has tread these waters in the past, but if rumors that the Black Sabbath frontman cheated on Sharon with a celebrity hairdresser are true, Mrs. O may not be as forgiving this time.

According to ET Online, Ozzy’s alleged mistress, Michelle Pugh, works as a colorist at the posh Meche Salon in Beverly Hills, and the Osbourne family — Ozzy, Sharon, and their daughters, Kelly and Aimee Osbourne — are all clients of the salon. Sharon previously told ET that if her husband ever cheated on her, she would “chop his willy off.”

While Sharon hasn’t publicly spoken about the couple’s breakup yet, Ozzy told E! News that reports that he has fallen off the wagon couldn’t be further from the truth and that his separation from Sharon has nothing to do with drugs or alcohol.

“I have been sober for three and a quarter years,” Osbourne said. “I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

The rock star was also spotted walking his dog in Los Angeles on Monday, and he was still wearing his wedding ring. The couple’s youngest two children, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, have not spoken out about their parents’ split yet, but eldest daughter Aimee Osbourne posted an interesting passage on Instagram about a woman who loves a man who doesn’t know how to love her back.
