Ozzy Osbourne Claims He’s Been Sober For Years Following Sudden Split From Wife Sharon

After it was announced that Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne called it quits after 34 years of marriage, many people jumped to the conclusion that Ozzy was off the rails again, as Sharon has left him several times because of his drug addiction.

That said, Osbourne came out publicly to say that he’s been sober for 3-and-a-quarter years, and he’s still sober, even though he and Sharon have every intention to divorce.

According to E!, he told the outlet, “I have been sober for three and a quarter years. I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

It was decided that Ozzy would move out of the house that he and Sharon share together. When reports broke that he had moved out, there was speculation that Ozzy had cheated on his wife. The Mirror claimed that Ozzy had “three weeks to save his marriage” due to his alleged infidelity. It was said that he cheated with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.

A source told the outlet, in regard to the situation, ” Ozzy is on a short timeline to resolve these issues and effectively save his marriage because he has to be on the road. Ozzy is already out of the house and Sharon has done this before, where she will not let him return until she is satisfied.”

The source continued, “It is going to be a hair-raising few days.”

Amidst the drama and multiple reports on what the factor was that lead to their split, Sharon Osbourne was absent from the panel on The Talk, which she co-hosts on a daily basis. Julie Chen, Sharon’s co-host, addressed Sharon’s absence at the top of the show by saying the following.

“Now before we get started, as you can see Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines this past weekend about her and Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family and we ask that you do the same.”

Then, things got interesting when reports broke the news that Ozzy Osbourne had gone missing after he moved out of the house he shared with Sharon.

According to Page Six, a source told the outlet, “Jack tried to get hold of Ozzy because he thinks he might talk some sense into him. He and his sisters Kelly and Aimee are worried about him and a bit shocked by what has gone on, but Sharon is in an unforgiving mood and does not want him in the house, so it’s a difficult position.”

At the time, it was said that he was staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel, but no one knew where he was at the hotel; at least, that’s what was reported at first. Hours later, it was reported the Osbourne was never missing. His rep stated that he wasn’t missing and, “Ozzy is honoring his commitments this week.” Ozzy was spotted outside of a Los Angeles office.

Ozzy has a few commitments, one including a “very special appearance” with Slipknot musician Corey Taylor, which takes place at the Hollywood Palladium. It includes a screening, a press conference and a live performance.

Ozzy and Sharon were married in 1982 and have three children together: Jack, Kelly, and Aimee.
