Adam Levine’s Wife Behati Prinsloo ‘Can’t Wait’ To Be A Mom: Will He Leave ‘The Voice’ After Daughter’s Birth?

Adam Levine’s wife, model Behati Prinsloo, is over the moon with excitement as she and the Maroon 5 singer prepare to welcome their first child.

Nearly two years into their marriage, Adam Levine and Prinsloo are expecting a baby girl and over the weekend, as she celebrated Mother’s Day, Prinsloo spoke of her journey into motherhood.

“Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing beautiful mom and all the moms out there,” Prinsloo wrote to her fans and followers on Instagram on May 9. “Can’t wait for this new adventure.”

Adam Levine’s wife’s pregnancy was first reported by Us Weekly in early March and weeks later, The Voice coach confirmed the news with his fans on Instagram along with a photo of Prinsloo showing off her baby bump in a tiny red bikini. In the caption of the photo, Adam Levine said his wife and unborn daughter were his two favorite Lakers fans.

Around the same time, one of Prinsloo’s closest friends, her fellow Victoria’s Secret model, Candice Swanepoel, announced she was also expecting her first child. Then, on Mother’s Day, Swanepoel wished both herself and Prinsloo a Happy Mother’s Day.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers in my life and happy almost mama’s day to us @behatiprinsloo… so much love already,” Swanepoel wrote.

Adam Levine has also spoken about his wife’s pregnancy. “I’m about to be a dad. I’m superpumped,” Adam Levine told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan during an appearance on Live! with Kelly & Michael, via Us Weekly, last month. “I’m having a girl.”

As for Prinsloo’s health, Adam Levine said all was well. “She’s good, man, she’s just, you know, been eating a lot of weird food,” Adam Levine explained. “Watermelon, that’s the thing in our house. A lot — so much watermelon. Maybe she just, like, really likes watermelon… I mean, it’s delicious. I’m glad it’s not, like, pickles or some weird thing.”

Around the time Adam Levine’s baby news hit the web, rumors swirled regarding his possible exit from The Voice, but so far, he’s expected to continue on with the show at least through its upcoming 11th season. In March, The Wrap confirmed Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s Season 11 returns, revealing the two men would be joined by two women coaches, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. The report also claimed Pharrell Williams would likely return to the show during a future season, as would Gwen Stefani.

As The Voice Season 10 continues, rumors are swirling regarding on-set drama between Adam Levine and Cyrus, who appeared during Season 10 as an advisor.

“[Adam Levine] and Miley were non-stop bickering during their last taping together,” an insider told Radar Online last month. “He nitpicks almost every single thing she says. Adam seems to find Miley to be extremely loud-mouthed and absolutely annoying!”

According to the report, Christina Aguilera, who is allegedly involved in a feud with Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, arranged for Cyrus’ role on the show to be increased in order for Stefani to be kept from her role as coach. However, while producers were on board with her alleged plan, they may have since had a change of heart.

“Executives are now second-guessing their decision to bring Miley Cyrus on full time because she cannot get along with [Adam Levine] to save her life!” the source explained to Radar Online.
