Jules Wainstein Says She Was Hurt By Comment About Her Money And Her Hamptons Home

Jules Wainstein may be new to The Real Housewives of New York, but she’s learning that she can’t necessarily trust her co-stars with her emotions. Jules invited Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Carole Radziwill, and Bethenny Frankel over to her home for brunch, but Bethenny and Carole acted rudely and pretty much ran out of the brunch the moment they had a chance. Wainstein was hurt with her co-stars running out of her home, but she’s now admitting that the comments about her home did upset her.

According to a new Bravo report, Jules Wainstein is now revealing that the discussion of “old money, new money” was hurtful to her. Of course, Jules kept talking about how much bigger her home was compared to Bethenny Frankel’s Hamptons home as if the size of the home matched the bank account. But as Frankel said, she would never be able to live in a construction zone for seven years.

“The comment about Bethenny’s home, the ‘new money, old money’… I was upset and felt offended about what was said about me, my life and my home, but it was wrong to say what I did, and I own it! As I watched it on television, I was horrified and embarrassed–I wasn’t raised that way. But I was caught off-guard and felt hurt. We are all human and say things we don’t mean,” Jules Wainstein explains on her Bravo blog, sharing that she was clearly very hurt by the comments that Bethenny made about her home.

The two sat down to have a lunch, and Jules decided to open up about her personal struggle and her eating disorder. Wainstein wanted to bring something personal to the table so they could bond, and during the lunch, Frankel broke down because she’s also had an eating disorder. That’s what motivated her to write her various books about eating healthy. And it sounds like Wainstein appreciated the bonding time with her co-star.

“After the one-on-one time I had with Bethenny, I did feel a connection with her and was relieved to get to know her better. She was very receptive, and I appreciated that,” Jules Wainstein explains about her growing friendship with her co-star.

And it sounds like Jules is bonding with many of her Real Housewives of New York co-stars, including Ramona Singer. Jules went to Ramona’s birthday lunch so she could meet Sonja Morgan. She’s clearly trying to hang out with her co-stars, but Sonja hadn’t been present at any of the events, as she wasn’t invited to Bethenny’s birthday.

“Ramona’s birthday lunch was great. You can tell a lot about someone by how many wonderful friends they have. There was so much love that filled the room. [It] says a lot about Ramona. She is a lovely lady, and I was happy to be there,” Jules Wainstein explains about Singer’s birthday, adding that she had a great time meeting Sonja Morgan. “Despite the things I’ve heard about her from the other ladies, I never like to judge someone by the rumors but by how they treat me, so I got a great first impression.”

Wainstein explains that she doesn’t judge people before meeting them but reveals that she did get some warnings about Sonja from her co-stars. Jules doesn’t explain who warned her or what was said, but she reveals that she does enjoy Sonja.

What do you think of Jules Wainstein’s comments about this episode of The Real Housewives of New York? Are you surprised that Wainstein is bonding so much with Bethenny these days on the show?
