‘Once Upon a Time’ Delivers Two Deaths, Heartbreak, And One Sweet Reunion Gearing Up For Exciting Season 5 Finale [Spoilers]
In one of the most heartbreaking episodes ever of Once Upon a Time, a major character’s death may just set off a series of unfortunate events. The show last night packed more than its share of emotional moments. It also caused some ruckus among devoted fans. The ABC drama warned that it was about to be a game changer, and it is certainly leading up to that as the season 5 finale is almost here.
Last night had two characters die, one of them who made the former evil queen very happy. Yes, the show has officially killed off Robin Hood, the hero to the poor and the one who had turned Regina’s heart of stone into one full of love and compassion. With her heart now broken into a million pieces, viewers may just see the return of the evil queen.
Unfortunately for Hades, Zelena walked in on a dead Robin and a heartbroken Regina and finally realized that her true love was indeed up to no good, just like everyone had warned her. She ultimately killed Hades and put an end to the king of darkness. However, it was too late to save Robin Hood this time. This was his funeral that was hinted at in the Once Upon a Time previews that everyone was speculating about.

Rumors were swirling that the funeral may have just been a memorial for Hook since Emma was seen at the cemetery crying. Who else would she be crying about? Of course, the show wouldn’t dare kill off Snow or Charming, so Hook was the obvious choice. Even though the funeral was not for Emma’s true love, it did indeed involve him.
Just as Emma was weeping over his grave, Hook walked up behind her. She turned around and saw his face. Emma may have thought that she was looking at his ghost by the look on her face, but she quickly realized that he was real and went running into his arms. It seems that Zeus, the brother of Hades, took pity on the pirate and sent him back to Storybrooke.

While rescuing Hook was ultimately what Emma and the others went to the Underworld for in the first place, the death of Robin Hood may now cause some jealousy and envy with Regina. In the previews for next week’s season finale, she is grieving and angry, and that is not a good combination for someone like Regina. She has now lost two loves. Will she break back into her old habits?
As CarterMatt has pointed out, Rumple has the crystal in his possession now, and he is seen talking to Regina in the season finale previews of Once Upon a Time. Will he convince her to revert back to the evil queen version of herself to join him in taking over Storybrooke?
Even though Snow, Charming, and the rest of her friends are willing to help Regina through this tragedy, there is always that dark side of her that is aching to come out. Once Upon a Time viewers have certainly seen that side of her, and it always ends up hurting her and everyone else in her path. Maybe Robin Hood will make a ghostly appearance and talk some sense into her.
