Wynonna Judd’s Husband Loses His Leg After Motorcycle Accident

Deadwood, Rapid City, SD – Wynonna Judd’s husband, drummer Cactus Moser, was injured Saturday in a motorcycle accident. Now, it has been reported that one of his legs has been amputated due to injuries he sustained in the wreck.

We reported that Moser was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle north on US Highway 16/385 when he drifted over the center line and collided with a southbound car. He was taken to the hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries. Now, a statement from Judd’s camp is saying that Moser’s left leg was “severed at the scene of the accident” and that he had the leg amputated above the knee in a Rapid City, South Dakota hospital.

The LA Times reports that Wynonna Judd was not injured. The two were riding a pair of motorcycles before a show Saturday night. Performances in the near future have been postponed. USA Today reports that Moser also had surgery done on one of his hands.

“Judd and Moser appreciate all of the quick medical and police responders as well as the hospital staff and well-wishes from family, friends and fans,” said the announcement.

Judd and Moser wed earlier this year. He is a drummer in her band.

Judd has sworn to not leave her husband through his recovery. “Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply, and I will not leave his side,” she said.
