Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have succeeded in maintaining a close friendship despite the constant scrutiny that both face as celebrities. Now, there's speculation that some conflict between the supposed best friends is occurring. When Taylor recently urged Selena to follow her own success by inviting other stars on stage during concert, her pal made it very clear that she's not Swift, and has no desire to follow Taylor's path, noted Entertainment Weekly.
Despite her new Revival Tour starting in Las Vegas on Friday, Gomez is rehearsing during the day while working in the study in the evening on a new album. But, she's not letting that album steal away from her ambitions for her tour, which she hopes will show her fans that anyone and everyone can experience a revival.
"I want you to be able to see this show and know that it's possible for anybody to do what they love. It's not an untouchable thing, whether it's singing or acting or getting out of your hometown. It's bigger than just myself. I care about what people going to see and take away from this tour."As part of that, although Selena admits she's a member of Taylor's squad, she is determined to differentiate herself from Swift when it comes to her tour. While Taylor is known for having special guests and urged her friend to follow her lead, it's not going to happen.

And it frustrates her when she's described primarily as a member of Team Taylor, seeking to become an independent artist.
"I've been in so many situations where it's like, "Oh, you're friends with this person? You're with that person?" All this credibility s—t that drives me crazy....I have a lot to do on my own before I am willing to make it all about embracing other people."As for Swift, just how many women are in that squad, and is it a "lie," as Buzz 60 claims? Taylor counts among her girl squad members a center core of supermodels, according to Vogue.
Team Swift includes Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt, Lily Aldridge, and Gigi Hadid, and the group is focused on empowerment with fun. But it was Selena who faithfully served by her side at a series of award shows, including the Grammy Awards, indicating that she's a member of the famous squad as well.
However, even though Taylor and Gomez supposedly were going to the Met Gala as each other's dates, the two devoted no time to each other at the actual event, pointed out E! News. Does that mean they've gone from best friends to feuding enemies?

There were no selfies of the two or time spent in the photo booth. And one problem could be the growing number of women supposedly in Taylor's squad. Swift has been candid in preferring to be surrounded by large numbers of female friends.
"My friends and I text every day," Taylor revealed. "Being a huge group of girls who love each other, we know where everyone is."
But does Swift still include Selena in that "huge group?" The two have even gone in different directions when it comes to their style.Gomez revealed that she chose to keep her hair long and natural, so that she can alternate between braids and flowing locks, noted Vogue.
In contrast, Taylor has become an edgy, grunge queen, according to the Daily Mail.
Anna Wintour took credit for the new look that Swift is sporting, which includes a bleached hairdo and more grunge wear such as ripped jeans and plaid shirts.
"We very much wanted to give Taylor a new look, make her into a sort of a rock n' roll chick," summed up Anna.
