Lady Gaga has a message for her fans: Keep your distance.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, is in Europe for the Born This Way concert tour, and an autograph hound darted towards her in a Romanian hotel lobby as she was leaving while a swarm of media and paparazzi waited outside.
Lady Gaga was visibly frightened (see video below), but her bodyguards responded quickly, however, and took care of business.
TMZ describes the scene in Romania:
“Gaga was trying to walk through her hotel, flanked by two beastly private security guards, when the autograph seeker tried to go through a revolving door and get in Gaga’s face”
“But the bodyguard POUNCED … grabbing the dude by the head and slamming him to the ground … instantly neutralizing the threat.”
The fan got up and left the hotel under his own power after the takedown, however. If this occurred in the states, a lawsuit would probably be coming next.
Although the Born This Way artist seems to be popular in Romania, Gigi Becali, a Romanian politician, isn’t thrilled that Lady Gaga is in his country in the first place. He claims Lady Gaga is a “disciple of Satan” and unsuccessfully tried to stop her August 16 concert there from going forward. According to EntertainmentWise.com, “she played the gig, although felt unwell and threw up on stage.”
