Kris Humphries’ Parents Are Getting A Divorce Too

Kris Humphries‘ parents are divorcing too, and the information comes exactly one year after their son and Kim Kardashian walked down the aisle to start their 72 day-long marriage (considering they will probably not be divorced until sometime next year though, the count is actually much higher than that).

TMZ obtained documents filed in Minnesota show that Kris’s mom, Debra, filed for divorce from her husband, William, earlier this month, following the path of their basketball playing son and his soon to be ex wife, Kim.

William and Debra Humphries have three children: Kris (the youngest) and his older sisters, Krystal and Kaela. And their divorce, while not at the same level of hype as Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian’s infamous split has been, will still involve splitting up a lot of money, as William owns several of the Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurants in Minnesota.

Kris Humphries’ parents’ divorce will probably not be as drawn out as their son’s has been — probably because Debra will not be trying to prove that her marriage to William was a sham that he pulled just to get more publicity, reports The Examiner. The couple’s son is currently in the process of trying to prove that his marriage to reality TV star was a sham in an attempt to get an annulment instead of a divorce.

While Kris contends that the annulment is for religious beliefs, his parents apparently don’t feel the same way about the big “D” word as he does. Of course, The Examiner points out that, should the judge rule in Humphries’ favor, his prenup agreement with Kim could also be null and void, leaving him free to sue her for all she’s worth.
