Katy Perry Is A Beauty Chameleon: Singer Talks About Embracing Her Curves

Katy Perry is kind of like a chameleon with the way she dresses. She fits into almost any red carpet event she’s invited to.

It happened when Katy Perry attended the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards. Perry traded in her outrageous pop costumes for a series of colorful cowgirl outfits. She even got into the act when she performed with Dolly Parton live on stage. Not only is Perry a chameleon when she performs, but she’s also a beauty chameleon, which is why she’s the ideal face of CoverGirl.

Sure, she loves to switch it up every now and then, but there is one shade of lipstick that Katy loves to wear day in and day out.

“Katy Purry is something I would wear all the time – from day to night,” she cooed over her preferred shade to Instyle magazine.

The pretty pink shade complements the singer’s full pout. When Perry is not rocking a full face of makeup at red carpet events, she’s often wearing a minimal makeup look with a black and white Adidas tracksuit, as seen on her recent trip to Peru.

She also explained the launch of her 13-shade Katy Kat lipstick collection, which includes neon colored eyeliners.

“I just want to give people options to highlight hopefully what they’ve already invested good time in: their emotional wellbeing and their mental health and their spirituality — stuff like that. Those are first and foremost, but then again, we are materialistic. We love to play and have fun and highlight and change. I’m a chameleon when it comes to looks. I’m all over the map.”

But how does Katy Perry feel about changing her looks at the plastic surgeon’s office? According to E! Online, Perry opened up about plastic surgery in a 2014 interview with GQ.

“Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a tit. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product.”

She recently revealed in an interview with Mashable that she embraces her curves. Katy said she feels that the conversation about bodies is changing, as women are no longer expected to be a size 0 to be considered attractive.

“There have been decades of bad messaging and we are rewiring now. Long gone are the days where you are not socially aware. I think owning the terms is on an individual basis. It’s about what you want to call yourself. We don’t see ourselves in the same way. I know for me, I’m curvy, I’m not sample size, but I represent a lot of people out there. I want to be relatable. That’s really important to me, while not losing my mind in this weird…human experiment I’m going through.”

The “Dark Horse” singer cozied up to her boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, at the 2016 Met Gala on Monday night. The two even wore matching white Tamagotchi keychains on their outfits to confirm that they are dating. They were seen taking a photo together at an after-party, which was published in the Daily Mail.

Although Katy made her appearance on the red carpet alone, she was later joined by her boyfriend as they attended a series of after-parties well into the evening. Katy and Orlando were seen arriving at a party at the Standard High Line before they headed back to their hotel, the Carlyle, by the end of the night.

The pop star changed out of her black velvet Prada gown into a black and gold jacquard dress with an off-the-shoulder design. The busy number also featured a wide black velvet and brown leather belt. Perry finished her look with black lace-up wedge boots and fingerless leather gloves.

The couple have been laying low ever since the dating rumors started swirling around the 2016 Oscars. Now it looks like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are making conscious efforts to make their relationship more public.
