Gwen Stefani On Her More Feminine Style Since Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani has had a bit of a whirlwind of a year all due to her very public divorce from husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. Yet the later part of the year has involved the beauty wearing a constant ear-to-ear smile thanks to her romance with country singer and The Voice co-judge Blake Shelton. The couple has been inseparable since they went public with the relationship last fall, and Gwen has opened up about how her life has transformed, along with her style, over the year, while making mention of the impact that Shelton has had on her. In a recent interview Stefani shares how her fashion choices have changed, People recalls her words.

“My life has changed dramatically in the last year. I think that style definitely reflects your mood. Maybe it’s a little more feminine right now. Definitely my life has gone somewhere else – that’s for sure – so maybe my style is reflecting that, which is great. It’s always fun to evolve, so I feel good about that.”

The “Make Me Like You” singer, who admits that a number of her latest tracks are about her current flame, Blake, was a bit coy about sharing details including what it was that made her fall for Blake. However, Stefani does share that she found a shoulder to lean on in Shelton.

“When you’re going through a really tough time, there are people that come in your life, like a friend that can help you get through things, and he’s definitely one of those people. That’s it. I feel like, when it comes to my life, I can say so much already in my songs.”

That music can now be heard on Gwen’s latest album, This is What The Truth Feels Like. The star was very open about the cathartic experience she had while making her latest record, and as mentioned, wrote a number of songs based on her romance with Blake. Additionally, a few tracks are a reflection of her tumultuous relationship and split from Gavin Rossdale.

As for the power couple’s latest joint efforts, Blake and Gwen have collaborated on a new song, and the word is that they are set to perform it on The Voice. The track is slated to appear on Shelton’s 1oth album and is set for release near the end of the month. Billboard shares more about the duet by Blake and Gwen that has fans excited.

“[T]he music industry’s latest power couple, will be performing a duet on The Voice, the very show that brought the pair together. Stefani and Shelton wrote the track together, and it’s slated to appear on Shelton’s tenth studio album If I’m Honest, coming out May 20. Stefani confirmed a duet between the two titled “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” last month via Twitter when she posted a photo of the album’s track listing.”

When asked about the inspiration the duo had for making a track together, Shelton was candid and really just shared that it was something they felt was right in the moment. In short, they really didn’t care what people were going to think, and just went for it.

“We were at a point where it’s like, ‘Do we want to go there? What will people think?’ And then we finally just got to the point where it’s like, ‘You know what? I don’t give a s—.”

It’s clear that Gwen Stefani and her new beau have been nothing but positive additions to each other’s lives since they began their romance, and joining forces surely could not hurt any seeing as the pair are both incredibly talented.
