Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Pass On Final ‘Twilight’ Conventions

Twilight fans are eagerly waiting for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to appear together again in public, but it doesn’t look like it will happen anytime soon. Stewart announced earlier this week that she would be a no-show at the MTV Video Music Awards ,and Creation Entertainment recently announced that both Pattinson and Stewart would not be attending the final Twilight conventions.

Gawker reports that four conventions are scheduled for Twilight fans over the next four months. Fans were hoping that Stewart and Pattinson would be able to put aside their personal differences to attend the final convention in November, but Creation Entertainment announced today that that would not be happening. Taylor Lautner will also miss the final convention.

Creation Entertainment said:

“The passion and dedication of Twilight fandom has been amazing and we’re out to throw one last giant convention, a final gathering to see old friends that have made up the Twilight family. Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!”

Stewart has kept herself out of the public eye since news broke that she cheated on Robert Pattinson with her Snow White director. Pattinson has made a few public appearances, but he’s avoided questions about Kristen Stewart like the plague.

Pattinson has, however, managed to vent his frustrations about having his personal life splashed across the front page of several websites.

Pattinson said:

“Media culture is a monstrous thing… You can’t win. The annoying thing is that you can’t attack them, but you can’t defend yourself. The best thing you could possibly do is punch a paparazzi and give them their big payday.”

Pattinson and Stewart are done filming the The Twilight franchise, but the final movie doesn’t come out until this November. Lautner, Stewart, and Pattinson have done a media tour together before the release of the previous Twilight movies, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen this time around.
