‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Major Accident Next Week Is A Game Changer, Will Someone Die?

The big Nurse’s Ball is coming up later this month on General Hospital, but it looks like there will be another major event taking place before that. However, it is certainly not going to be a celebration at all. Spoilers indicate that there will be a major car accident next week that is expected to affect a few major characters and possibly change their lives forever.

A brand new General Hospital promo was posted by ABC’s Nathan Varni on his Facebook, and it involves Carlos Rivera and a few other Port Charles residents. Carlos is in jail accused of killing Duke Lavery. However, the only witness to the murder has now been killed as well, and Carlos may just go free. However, Carlos will be facing the fury of Sonny Corinthos, and now he is afraid for his life.

The General Hospital sneak peek shows Sonny visiting Duke’s killer in jail and threatens him calling him a “dead man.” It looks like Sonny will be setting something in motion because there will be a tragedy ahead for next week.

Carlos is being transported by Nathan West and Dante Falconeri from his jail cell to an unknown destination. The three men are seen riding in a police van with someone else driving. On the way to wherever they are headed with their prisoner, another vehicle runs into them. As the vehicles are seen colliding into each other, a few key characters are seen in flashes, as well. In fact, Nathan Varni said that Monday, May 9, will be a game-changing episode on General Hospital.

Who is in the other car? That remains to be seen, but there are a few people in Port Charles that are heavily involved in this storyline involving Carlos. Rumors are floating around that it could be Jason Morgan that is in the other vehicle. If it is him, the life change could be that this accident may bring all of his memories back from his past. Another scenario is that little Danny is also in the car with his daddy, and he could be critically injured and fighting for his life, as well.

Of course, it could always be the obvious. Either Nathan or Dante could end up being badly hurt as they were seen getting thrown around like rag dolls in the van. What about Carlos Rivera? It is doubtful that he dies, as spoilers have indicated that he ends up escaping after the crash occurs.

Whoever it is that will be injured, and possibly may die in the accident, it looks like it will involve Sam and Alexis, as they are both shown in the General Hospital clip. Sonny and Carly were also seen, so they all may be connected in some way. Another possibility is that Michael Corinthos could be driving the other vehicle. This could possibly bring Sabrina Santiago back to Port Charles, as she will be coming back soon.

That would certainly put Sonny in his place if he was actually the one who caused the car crash in the first place. If that is the case, then two of his sons could be involved, as Dante was in the van with Carlos.

What about Anna Devane? She is outraged that Carlos may not pay for killing the love of her life. Is she so upset that she is in her car driving and is involved in the accident? That could explain why actor Ian Buchanan is coming back next week in his role as Duke Lavery, as reported by Soaps In Depth. If Anna is fighting for her life, then Duke could appear from beyond the grave to speak to her. Unfortunately, Buchanan’s return is only temporary. Griffin Munro, who is Duke’s son, could also be linked to this, as he could either be the victim or the doctor who will be working on the injured person.

Indicators also point to Julian Jerome’s involvement as well. He may have wanted Carlos out of the way for good, so he could have been involved in the hit. Or is he the one who will be fighting for his life?

There are so many possibilities and fans are wondering if their favorite character will be killed off. Stay tuned to see what will occur and whose lives will take a turn for the worse on General Hospital.
