Rumer Willis Calls Out Photographers For Photoshopping Her Jaw

Several celebrities have spoken out against photographs of themselves, mainly on covers of magazines, where their image was digitally manipulated. Often, celebrities’ appearances are changed to remove wrinkles, dark bags under the eyes, and other blemishes. Other times, parts of their body are altered to make them appear slimmer. Rumer Willis is just the latest celebrity to speak about her photoshopped picture.

Rumer Willis, the oldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is slamming photographers for photoshopping her jawline in a recent photo shoot for an editorial. The 27-year-old actress is saying that her jawline was edited to appear slimmer. Rumer took to Instagram to share the photo that she is talking about.

According to E Online, the photo of Rumer Willis, together with younger sisters Scout and Tallulah, is for Vanity Fair. The photographers are said to be Sara Hirakawa and Mark Williams.

Rumer noticed the changed that was made in the photo, and she is now asking her friends and fans who posted the photo to take them down from their social networking sites, as she feels offended of the drastic changes that were made to her appearance. Rumer also said that what was done is a form of bullying, and she doesn’t stand for it.

Rumer Willis’ post was read by many, and fans offered their support to her.

Rumer Willis was not always confident. Last year, as Glamour reported, Rumer shared that she had been bullied as a kid because of her looks. Because of what she went through, Rumer had issues with her body. To add to that, she was constantly being followed by paparazzi because of her famous parents.

This photoshopped image is not the first time Rumer Willis has spoken out against photo manipulation. In the same Glamour article, Rumer said that in a fashion shoot, her face was photoshopped to appear thinner. Like what she did with her recent photo, Rumer spoke out about it and said that she is against altering her face.

A few years ago, there were rumors that Rumer had plastic surgery and a chin shave procedure. She denied the rumors and said there’s no truth to them, adding that if she ever did something like that, she wouldn’t deny it.

Willis credits her confidence to her sisters whom she calls “brave.”

“Seeing my younger sisters be so brave also inspired me: Scout is so unbelievably strong and opinionated, and she sticks to her convictions. And the way Tallulah was so honest and owned her situation when she went to rehab was amazing.”

Rumer Willis emerged as the champion in Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars. Aside from acting, the 27-year-old is also busy with her music. Recently, Rumer performed in front of an audience at Cafe Carlyle, a cabaret room. Critics praised Rumer’s performance.
