Beyonce Ditches Jay Z And Befriends Rita Ora To Fuel ‘Lemonade’ Sales At Met Gala

Beyonce is on everyone’s mind with her new visual album Lemonade out. At her first super public appearance after the release, Beyonce was seen without Jay Z and instead, to everyone’s surprise, hanging with Rita Ora, who was suspected to be “Becky with the good hair” in one of the songs from Lemonade.

Rita Ora took a selfie with Beyonce inside the 2016 Met Gala bash on Monday, May 2, in New York City,” reports Us Weekly. “The friendly moment comes after Ora came under fire from the superstar’s fans as a possible “Becky” following the release of Bey’s Lemonade track “Sorry.””

This selfie sealed the fact that Rita Ora wasn’t the one that Jay Z was cheating on Beyonce with. The singer has said this before, but having this conclusive proof will help her fight the rumor that she is “Becky with the good hair.”

Check out how bomb Beyonce looked at this year’s Met Gala.

Rita didn’t look too bad herself either.

The 25-year-old singer went as far as tagging her selfie with Beyonce with “Family,” showing that she has nothing against for the singer.

This is a strong fight that she is fighting against the accusations from Beyonce fans that have named her as “Bekcy with the good hair.” She first tried to fight the rumors with a tweet, but that seemed to have even more enraged the Queen Bey supporters.

“I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false,” Rita wrote on her account. “I have nothing but the upmost respect for Beyonce. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade.”

While Beyonce is befriending some people that she might have antagonized in her new album Lemonade, one person that she has not made public amends with is her own husband Jay Z. He was definitely missing from the roster at Met Gala 2016, fueling rumors about their marital discord.

Or, as many of other people are suggesting, Jay Z may be in hiding after the release so that people are not so galvanized to take actions against him.

So now that Rita Ora has been ruled out of being one of the inspirations for Lemonade, the only person that remains is Rachel Roy, the designer for Jay Z’s fashion label. She became the target for Bey’s fans when she “hinted that she was Becky by captioning a since-deleted Instagram post “good hair don’t care.” Roy has also denied that she’s Becky, despite unconfirmed reports linking the designer to the rapper, according to Us Weekly.

Rachel has also taken to Twitter to make a case for herself. She wrote, “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.”

If you are new to Met Gala, it is the single-most fashionable event of the year.

Officially, it’s the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, a black-tie extravaganza held the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute (a.k.a. the fashion department), the only one of the Met’s curatorial departments that has to fund itself,” reports New York Times.

Every year, the theme changes and the celebrities dress up to fit in. This year, the exhibit is “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,” and the party goers have stepped up to the challenge by dressing in various wiry, metallic ways.
