Did Beyonce Sabotage Rita Ora’s Career? New Rumor Follows Rihanna Sabotage Accusation

The Daily Star reported today about a rumor that superstar Beyonce sabotaged the career of alleged love rival Rita Ora.

Beyonce sent shock waves through the internet when she released visual album Lemonade, which contained a reference to a cheating woman identified as “Becky with the good hair.”

Beyonce and Jay Z have long been dealing with cheating rumors, stories that their marriage is on the rocks, rumors that they are on the brink of divorce, and even allegations that Blue Ivy is not really their child.

Some have wondered why the usually-private Beyonce would reference such a heated issue so frankly in her album, while others have speculated that it was a canny publicity ploy.

The Beyonce fandom or Beyhive, angered by the allegations, became determined to identify “Becky with the good hair.”

The hive soon turned on a woman named Rachel Roy, the stylist who is reported to have inspired Beyonce’s sibling Solange to attack Jay Z in a lift. The attack allegedly happened after Rachel cozied up to the music mogul at a star-studded event, as reported by the Independent.

Next, Beyonce fans attacked Rita Ora, a former protege of Jay Z’s who has since sued Beyonce’s husband for mismanaging her career.

The reasons for the suspicion around Rita appear to center around her former closeness to Jay Z, recent references to cheating posted by Ora on social media, and a picture Rita posted recently that showed her wearing a bra decorated with lemons.

Rita Ora has denied the cheating allegations on social media. However, rumors continue to fly, and some are now convinced that Beyonce released Lemonade to put the final nail in the coffin of Rita Ora’s troubled career.

One fan reflected that Beyonce, Roc Nation, and Jay Z have “thrown [Rita Ora] under the bus” and called the whole fiasco a clear case of “career sabotage.”

Another fan wrote that Beyonce could indeed have “had control” over Rita’s career and engineered a flop out of spite.

“Eh it could make sense that Rita Ora is ‘Becky with the good hair’ cause I mean her entire career flopped. bey could’ve had control of that [sic].”

The Mirror is reporting that Rita has been considering pulling out of the Met Gala to avoid a confrontation with Beyonce.

Rita is having second thoughts about attending the Met Ball. She has her gorgeous outfit picked out, but she’s dreading a confrontation with Beyonce and wants to avoid her and Jay Z. At this point, she may not even go. She may pull out at the last minute.”

The Beyonce sabotage rumors follow stories that it was, in fact, Rihanna who was using her influence with Jay Z to sabotage Rita Ora’s career, according toDesign & Trend.

“Rihanna has never liked Rita and has been using her power at Roc Nation accordingly. This is the main reason the label’s execs have been uninterested in putting effort into promoting Rita. Songs that might be submitted to her are automatically given to Rihanna, who may then hold them for months before deciding she doesn’t want them.”

The Daily Mail reports that Rihanna “used her influence” with Jay Z’s company to ensure that Rita’s career was given only minimal attention.

“Rihanna is said to have used to her power in the industry to halt the career of her fellow label-mate Rita Ora.”

Rita Ora eventually sued Roc Nation, alleging that Jay Z and other execs paid ample attention to her in the beginning, but that later her career was put on the back-burner.

New sports management ventures and competing Roc Nation acts were eating up management’s time, Rita was led to believe, and the resources to focus on her nascent career were simply not there.

“When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives were very involved with her as an artist [but] As Roc Nation’s interests diversified, there were fewer resources available and the company suffered a revolving door of executives. Rita’s remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company.”

The lawsuit filed by Rita Ora makes reference to Roc Nation’s growing interest in sports management and to the troubled Tidal service.

Jay Z was reported to have counter-sued Rita Ora at one point.

Beyonce and Rihanna have not addressed the Rita Ora sabotage rumors.
