‘Iron Chef’ Cat Cora’s Plea Deal In DUI Case

The “Iron Chef” and Food Network star, Cat Cora will not be seeing any jail time due to her DUI in Santa Barbara on June 17th. According to TMZ, Cora was able to strike a favorable plea deal with prosecutors.

A representative for the Santa Barbara County District Attorney told TMZ that Cat pled “no contest” to driving with her blood alcohol limit above the legal limit of .08, she had a BAC of .19 to be exact. The remaining DUI case was then dropped.

As part of her plea deal, Cora was sentenced to three years of probation and nine months of DUI school. Cora also paid a lot of fines in the hefty amount of $2,386. In addition to the probation, DUI school, and fines; Cora also recieved a 120-day suspended jail sentence. This means that Cora will not see an ounce of jail time as long as she meets all of the requirements for her probation and DUI school obligations.

Acording to police, the “Iron Chef” star admitted to drinking three beers before blowing over twice the legal limit when she got pulled over on June 17th.

Cat later apologized for the arrest, saying, “I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable.”
