Don Lemon Flips Larry Wilmore The Bird 2 Times: Lemon’s Middle Finger Salute Caught On Live TV [Video]
Don Lemon put up his middle finger twice in the presence of comedian Larry Wilmore — a guy who received plenty of buzz himself when Wilmore used the N-word in reference to President Obama, as reported by the Inquisitr. Lemon gave Larry the middle finger salute after Wilmore mentioned that certain members of the African-American press were in the audience at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. The yearly dinner took place this year on Saturday, April 30, and was held at the Washington Hilton in Washington. Larry made sure to exclude Don from that line of praise.
“Some of America’s finest black journalists are here tonight. Don Lemon is here too.”
Lines like those from Larry have caused Wilmore to get a big reaction — along with President Obama — under the hashtag ?#?whcd?, both on Facebook and Twitter.

However, the middle finger gesture seemed to be taken in stride by both Lemon and Wilmore, who can be seen reconciling in the following photo, with Don once again raising his middle finger in Larry’s presence.

The jokes about Lemon’s gesture are rolling into social media, with as least one person tweeting that Don was simply putting up one finger to show Larry that CNN was the No. 1 network in terms of ratings.

As reported by the Guardian, Larry even drew boos from some folks in the crowd at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, leaving some to wish they were the ones caught on camera giving Wilmore the finger.

However, the jokes that Larry sent Donald Trump’s way are getting a big reaction from folks online, who either love them or loathe them.
“Donald Trump says he’s going to try to be more presidential, it’s true. He’s serious about it, too. So he says that now when he boasts about his genitalia during a debate, he’s only going to refer to it as his President Johnson. LBJ? Oh, very good.
“I can’t understand why everyone treats Donald Trump with kid gloves. And then I realized they’re the only gloves that will fit his stupid little baby hands.”
“Morning Joe has their head so far up Trump’s a**, they bumped into Chris Christie.”
“Donald Trump looks like the rich dad in every single episode of Law and Order where the frat kid accidentally strangles the hooker, doesn’t he. Or, as they say here at the Washington Hilton, ‘Tuesdays’.”
In the end, Larry quipped that he wasn’t sure when America would ever get a president of African-American heritage again.
“I don’t know when we’re getting a black president again. I mean, they’re not even going to let Morgan Freeman be president in movies for a while.”
On Twitter, folks are urging Lemon to stay classy in the wake of his middle finger salute to Larry. Others are writing that perhaps Don raised his finger in a gesture that nearly everyone in the room wanted to give the comedian. Wilmore had quite a few anti-CNN jokes to lob around the room, reports the Guardian, which could explain Lemon’s middle finger frustration. However, CNN wasn’t the only network that was the butt of Wilmore’s jokes.
C-SPAN got some ribbing, along with Fox and MSNBC, which was criticized by Larry for getting rid of black journalists.
