‘The Young And The Restless’ Co-Stars Say Goodbye To Kelly Sullivan, ‘Y&R’ Fans React To Sage’s Death

The Young and the Restless star Justin Hartley took to Twitter to say goodbye to former co-star, Kelly Sullivan. Hartley, who plays Adam Newman on the CBS soap opera, told Sullivan that he will miss working with her and hoped their paths cross again. He noted she was a professional, funny, and a great actress.

The Young and the Restless fans enjoyed watching Justin and Kelly play in scenes together. They seemed to have great chemistry and even in scenes that they were not supposed to like each other, they worked well together.

Sage’s death on Friday’s episode of The Young and the Restless shocked fans. At first, the Y&R audience thought it was an internet rumor that Sage was going to die in May Sweeps. No one actually believed that she would die before she got the chance to tell Nick that Christian was alive. She died knowing that Christian was alive, and most likely would be raised by Sharon. For many viewers, they feel cheated by her death because the character, Sage, deserves more. The fans deserved more.

Kelly Sullivan finally spoke out and confirmed that Sage was off the show on social media. She explained that it was a great run in the series, and she thanked her supporters and fans for watching her. She also noted that she will miss The Young and the Restless family.

Melissa Claire Egan, who plays Chelsea Lawson, tweeted that she will miss Kelly on the set. She explained that she was a professional and always came to work prepared. She loves her gentle spirit, sense of humor, and her beautiful smile.

Kelly tagged Joshua Morrow, the actor who plays Nick Newman, in a tweet and said that she loves him. They worked closely together for the past 18 months, so her departure has to be difficult for him.

Melissa Ordway, the actress who plays Abby Newman, posted a sweet picture with Kelly and stated she can’t say enough about Sullivan. She explained that she is incredibly talented, loved, and has a great sense of humor. She added that she would be missed on the set.

The Young and the Restless viewers have reacted with mostly sadness about her departure. Over the past few months, Sage become more likable as the CBS soap opera fans grieved with her. They felt the pain of losing Christian and rooted for her marriage to work. The audience couldn’t wait to see Sage, Nick, and Christian become a family and see how Adam would react to the news his son was alive.

Most of The Young and the Restless viewers have stated they feel robbed by her death. It wasn’t supposed to end this way, and now, Sage will never know what it is like to be a mother. There is so much sadness for her as a character, and many feel it was the wrong decision to kill her off.
