Beyonce Cancels Gig Amidst Jay Z Cheating Rumors, Ditches Wedding Ring

Beyonce cancelled her gig in Nashville after reports on Jay Z cheating on her came out. The reason remains a mystery, which further sparked rumors that the two are heading for a divorce. An official statement was released, but the promoters didn’t give out any reason why they decided to reschedule the concert.

“Following Wednesday’s sold out opening night Formation World Tour concert in Miami, promoters Live Nation announced that the Nashville concert previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5 will be rescheduled,” her rep told E! News.

“Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event,” her rep added.

Beyonce and Jay Z haven’t confirmed nor denied the cheating rumors that have been coming out. However, it seems that the two have called it quits as they ditched their wedding rings during her Miami concert.

According to The Sun, the 34-year-old singer was spotted without her wedding as she prepared for her show and during her performance. The 46-year-old rapper was also seen without his wedding ring backstage while he was chatting to his pal.

Despite the cheating rumors and missing wedding rings, Beyonce tried to dismiss the divorce allegations by singing a song for Jay Z. Before she started singing “Halo,” she told the audience: “I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband… I love you so much.”

Shawn Corey Carter, which is the musician’s real name, was sitting in the front row together with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Michelle Williams. The cheating rumors started when the former Destiny’s Child released her latest album Lemonade which featured songs on infidelity.

So who is the other woman? There is a line in Beyonce’s song that may have revealed the identity of Jay Z’s mistress. Many fans suspect that “Becky with the good hair” is Rachel Roy, who was once romantically linked to the “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker.

The 42-year-old fashion designer received many hate remarks on Instagram, that’s why she decided to make her account private. However, she later on made it public again and released a statement on Twitter hoping to end the allegations that she’s having an affair with Jay Z.

A few years ago, Solange Knowles had a heated confrontation with Rachel Roy, who she thinks was getting too close to her sister’s husband. The fashion designer was married to Damon Dash back then and he’s good friends with the rapper.

According to TMZ, this incident was followed by the elevator attack which was caught on the camera. The CCTV footage leaked online, which sparked rumors that there is trouble in the couple’s marriage. However, Beyonce and Solange’s dad Matthew Knowles claimed that it was just a promotional stunt.

Apart from Rachel Roy, Rita Ora is also being dragged into the controversy. The 25-year-old British singer was quick to end the rumors that she is having an affair with Jay Z by releasing a statement on Twitter.

While fans try not to believe that Jay Z has been cheating on Beyonce, the songstress’ former manager Brian ‘Kenny’ Moore thinks that she is reliving the heartache of her mother Tina Knowles who was also cheated on by her father Matthew Knowles.

“Her father’s cheating is well known and just because you’re Beyoncé it doesn’t mean the cycle will change,” he told Mail Online. “Most girls marry guys exactly like their fathers. If you have an a**hole father, the daughter will usually marry an a**hole guy.”

Moore also claimed that even if Beyonce finds out that Jay Z has been cheating on her, the Grammy Award winner still won’t file for a divorce. Brian admitted that he fears how she would handle marriage failure and criticisms from other people.

“She may say she doesn’t care about people talking but really deep down inside she does, a great deal,” he said. “She says things to try and deflect it, but I can tell she gets affected. She’s a sensitive person.”
