Former Bachelorette Des Hartsock and her husband Chris Siegfried didn’t attend Jade and Tanner’s wedding in January, but they had plenty to celebrate on their own. They marked their first wedding anniversary on January 18, and three months later, Desiree revealed to Us Weekly (video below) that they are expecting their first child.
The couple met on Season 9 of the Bachelorette in 2013 and got married in a private ceremony in January 2015. On Wednesday, Des stated that she is 13 weeks pregnant and said they found out the big news on Valentine’s Day while on their anniversary trip in Hawaii.
“I kind of knew, like, ‘You know something, I think I’m pregnant. We were in Hawaii, when we went for our one-year anniversary. That’s when we took a test and found out!”
Who will be next to join the Bachelor baby bump club? Perhaps Kaitlyn Bristowe? The Season 11 Bachelorette and her fiancé Shawn Booth recently told People magazine that they are “pumped to start a family soon” and may put the baby making before their wedding.
“We know we’re going to get married, but we’re really pumped to start a family!,” Kaitlyn told People. “I don’t feel like there is a specific order we have to go in. I think we’re more excited about having kids than actually getting married!”
