Angelina Jolie Extreme Weight Loss Causes Jon Voight To End Feud Amid Brad Pitt Divorce Rumors [Video]

Angelina Jolie reportedly is causing those around her to express concern about her increasingly slender frame. Estimated to weigh only 79 pounds by experts, Jolie recently stepped out to dinner with a friend as some worry she is endangering her health with her weight loss, according to a source cited by the International Business Times.

Among those concerned about Jolie's weight is Jon Voight, her father, with whom she has had a long-running feud. He allegedly called Angelina's husband, Brad Pitt, in an effort to get his daughter to speak with him and intervene.

"Jon was concerned after seeing photos of his daughter looking like she was wasting away, and he called Brad," revealed the source. "He practically begged Brad to get Angie to talk to him, but Brad had to tell him he's about the last person Angie would want to hear from about this."

Angelina and her father have feuded since 2002, when Voight described Jolie as having "serious mental problems." Consequently, they have been estranged in recent years, and Jon's attempt to intervene and help his daughter failed.

The concern for Angelina's weight coincides with reports that she and Pitt are on the verge of a divorce. Brad allegedly enjoyed a flirtation with one of his co-stars, Marion Cotillard.

But is Jolie's weight loss due to health issues rather than marriage problems? In the past years, Angelina has faced health challenges.

After losing her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, to breast cancer, Jolie learned that she had a high risk of that disease because of the BRCA1 gene.

Angelina subsequently underwent a double mastectomy, and then, in March 2015, a blood test revealed that she might have signs of early-stage ovarian cancer, resulting in another procedure, according to Today.

Jolie had both her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed, conscious of the fact that her mother had fought cancer for eight years. The experience caused Brad to feel particularly emotional.

"Seeing my wife have to be her strongest and knowing that it's the scariest news is terribly moving," shared Pitt. "There was a strength in that. It was just another one of those things in life that makes you tighter, and she was doing it for the kids, and she was doing it for her family so we could be together."

Angelina expressed her gratitude for Brad's support, emphasizing that she felt throughout all her surgeries that he was there for her.

"I knew through the surgeries that he was on my side and that this wasn't something where I was gonna feel less of a woman because my husband wasn't gonna let that happen," Jolie revealed. "To face these issues together and speak about them [is]...a beautiful thing."

After going through that experience, however, are the two having marriage problems? The print edition of Life & Style recently claimed that Angelina and Brad are splitting, noted Celeb Dirty Laundry.

Jolie is described as worried that Pitt has taken on the role of "mentoring" aspiring actresses, among them Selena Gomez and Carla Delevingne. In addition, Brad allegedly has flirted with one of the family nannies as well as actress Marion Cotillard.

However, reports that Jolie walked out on Pitt due to that flirtation are not true, according to Gossip Cop.

The couple is residing in London during the filming of Brad's Five Seconds of Silence. With Cotillard taking on the role of the wife, Angelina was reported to be perturbed about the bond that Brad and Marion have developed.

In Touch cited a source claiming that Pitt and Cotillard enjoy "flirting and sharing inside jokes between takes," with Brad as "Marion's one-man fan club." The tabloid also alleged that Pitt praised the actress' French accent, talent, and class, causing Angelina to become so jealous and suspicious that she walked out.

But an insider told Gossip Cop that there is "no truth" to that story, including the allegation that Pitt and Jolie "have both been pushed beyond the brink."
